BLACKBURN Rovers today announce their season ticket prices for the 2016-17 campaign.

And the club have confirmed that the Family Stand will be moved to the Jack Walker Stand lower tier (Blackburn End side) next season.

That is because Rovers have taken the decision to close the top tier of the Blackburn End.

The club said: “The move has been given careful consideration and the club is confident that there are numerous advantages which supporters will experience the benefit of.

Lancashire Telegraph:

“By bringing families closer to the action, Rovers’ young fans will now be able to get up close and personal with their favourite players – for autographs and photos – and will still be able to access the Strikers Lounge facility pre-match.

“The club also believes that by concentrating the crowd in that area, it will improve both the visible and audible support for the team, thus enhancing the atmosphere and supporter experience inside the stadium.

“Season ticket holders in the Jack Walker lower who do not fall within the Family Stand criteria will be provided with the opportunity to personally choose an alternative seat – and make a significant saving.

“For example, last season’s lower tier price was £429 in the inner section and £379 in the outer section, however similar seats for the forthcoming campaign are now just £299.”

Season ticket holders in the top tier of Blackburn End have been informed by letter about the change.

Adult season ticket prices start from £279 in the RFS Riverside Stand, which works out at £12.13 per game.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Supporters can also watch the full Championship campaign for under £300 in the Blackburn End lower tier and the Darwen End, as well as the Jack Walker Stand lower tier after 8,000 seats in the stadium’s main stand were reduced in price.

That means that 16,000 seats at Ewood Park are available next season for £13 per game or less.

Concession (aged 18-21 and 65+) prices start from £179, junior prices have been frozen at £60, while there are free season tickets for children aged 0-8 in the new Family Stand.

The club has also confirmed the return of the Premier League Pledge which means fans who buy a season ticket before July 4 would be able to watch a whole season of Premier League football at Ewood for only 25 per cent of this year’s price should Rovers get promoted.

Supporters who purchase 2016-17 season tickets will also receive reductions in the cost of a new Umbro replica shirt (£10 off for adults, £5 off for juniors).
