BLACKBURN Rovers paid £165,537 in agents’ fees between October 1, 2015 and February 1, 2016 – the eighth lowest amount in the Championship.
Figures released by the FA, under FIFA rules, show that 16 of Rovers’ league rivals forked out more to registered intermediaries during that four-month period.
QPR stumped up £1,002,232 with the next highest amount being the £740,789 shelled out by Hull City.
Burnley paid £312,988, the 10th highest amount in the division, behind QPR, Hull, Cardiff City (£542,546), Nottingham Forest (£485,954), Bristol City (£371,850), Middlesbrough (£340,395), Reading (£327,390), Derby County (£323,076) and Fulham (£316,655).
Only three clubs, Birmingham City (£46,000), Bolton Wanderers (£54,867) and Rotherham United (£63,850), handed over less than £100,000 to agents.
