BLACKBURN Rovers boss Paul Lambert has made one change to the team for his first game in charge.
Lambert has replaced Chris Taylor with Adam Henley in a move which will see the in-form Ben Marshall, who played right-back in the final five games of Gary Bowyer’s reign, operating further forward.
Rovers, who will be roared on by a sell-out 5,500-strong travelling support, are unbeaten in three matches.
Preston are unbeaten six, keeping six straight clean sheets, and a seventh successive shut-out will break a club record that was first set in 1901.
The Lilywhites, managed by former Rovers defender Simon Grayson, have made one change to the side that started their 0-0 draw at QPR before the international break.
The fit-again Greg Cunningham has taken the place of Marnick Vermijl.
Preston’s line-up includes Rovers old boys Paul Gallagher and Joe Garner.
Preston: Pickford, Woods, Wright, Huntington, Cunningham, Reach, Browne, Johnson, Gallagher, Garner, Doyle. Subs: Kirkland, Vermijl, Clarke, Welsh, Keane, May, Hugill.
Rovers: Steele, Henley, Duffy, Hanley, Olsson, Marshall, Evans, Akpan, Conway, Lawrence, Rhodes. Subs: Raya, Spurr, Kilgallon, Delfouneso, Koita, Taylor, Guthrie.
