BLACKBURN Rovers and Burnley have been nominated for a host of prizes at the MBNA Northwest Football Awards.
Burnley FC in the Community are finalists in both the Community Club of the Year (Premier League) and the Community Initiative of the Year categories, the latter for the Danny Ings Disability Sports Project.
Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, and their Heart of the Game project, have also been shortlisted for Community Initiative of the Year award.
Rovers' Trust is also in the running for the Community of the Year (All Other Leagues).
Dave Fevre, head of sports medicine at Ewood Park, has been nominated for the Fabrice Muamba Award for Outstanding Contribution to Football Medicine and Science.
Bury manager David Flitcroft, brother of former Blackburn Rovers captain Garry, has been shortlisted for Manager of The Year along with Simon Grayson, who guided Preston North End into the Championship last season.
The current holder is Burnley’s Sean Dyche.
