JORDAN Rhodes has spoken of his pride at reaching 150 appearances for Blackburn Rovers.

Rhodes will achieve the milestone if, as expected, he starts this afternoon’s Championship clash at Hull City (3pm).

“It’ll be a nice milestone to reach 150,” said the striker to the Lancashire Telegraph after netting his 77th and 78th goals for the club in last Saturday’s 3-0 success at home to Charlton Athletic.

“I’m really happy to do well for this club and it’s a club I really want to do well for.

“To have got 78 goals in just over three years is better than what I hoped it could have gone.”

The victory over Charlton was Rovers’ first of the season.

And Rhodes said: “We’ve got our first win and it would be nice if it had that snowball effect and we win two or three games.

“But Hull are a really good side and we’ll have to be right on our game to get a win.”

Rovers’ seven-match winless start to the league season left them stranded in the bottom three.

And, while the triumph over Charlton hauled them out of the relegation places, Rhodes said: “We’ll set our goals high and try to do the best we can but it’s tough for us with the start that we’ve had and the position that we’re in to set any long-term goals.

“It’s a cliché but we’re just going to try and take it one game at a time.

“Saturday was a good performance, and it was nice to get three goals and three points, but now it’s on to Hull where we’ll try and replicate some of the play we produced against Charlton.”
