FULHAM’S former on-loan Blackburn Rovers midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe has been suspended for two games at the beginning of the 2015-16 season after admitting a charge of aggravated misconduct by reference to sexual orientation after comments posted on his Twitter account.
Tunnicliffe, who scored one goal in 17 games for Rovers last season before being recalled by the Cottagers in January, has also been been fined £5,000 and ordered to attend a mandatory education course.
Fulham have also confirmed that they will be taking action against the 22-year-old for his ‘unacceptable actions’.
Tunnicliffe made the comments after Middlesbrough lost the Championship play-off final to Norwich City and were aimed at their on-loan Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford.
The Tweet has since been deleted from his account.
