HOMELESS people in Glasgow are helping Rangers fly the flag in Europe tonight.
Volunteers have placed more than 50,000 blue flags in seats at Ibrox Stadium in time for tonight's Uefa Cup last-16 tie against Spain's Osasuna.
The specially printed flags are for supporters to wave before kick off while singing Keep The Blue Flag Flying High.
Club officials hope to recreate the special atmosphere at Ibrox in the previous round when they beat Hapoel Tel-Aviv.
Former Rangers hero Sandy Jardine, now commercial sales manager at the club, said: "We've put out cards and flags in the past. It gives the players a lift, so we thought we would do it again."
The Rangers Charity Foundation worked with 18 volunteers from The Talbot Association, Turning Point Scotland and the Mungo Foundation.
All volunteers have been given a free ticket to the game. Mr Jardine said: "I hope they enjoy another fantastic European night at Ibrox."
