DESCRIBE THE BAND: An unsigned indie rock band that have great vocals, catchy melodies and fine stage presence who know how to play to a packed crowd.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Glasgow.
LINE-UP: Mick Flavin, vocals; Sean Morgan, electric/acoustic; Jock McKinnon, acoustic/ electric; Colin Brown, bass; Paul Friel, drums.
WHEN AND HOW DID YOU FORM? Mick, Jock, Sean and Paul know each other from school, playing covers and writing material ever since. We have only really started to take things seriously when Colin joined in December 2005.
RELEASED ANY RECORDS? We have a five-track demo available on our Myspace and available at any gig we play.
SUPPORTED ANY MAJOR BANDS? IL EASE on her UK tour at Nice 'N' Sleazy's in May and Motorettes at Classic Grand in November apart from that we are open to offers... Oasis would be good.
WHAT MAKES YOU SPECIAL? Montra's style and sound of music.
WHAT/WHO ARE YOUR INFLUENCES? Our sound has been heavily influenced by great bands from the 60s right up to the present day such as The Beatles, The Doors, The Stone Roses and Oasis.
WHAT ARE YOUR CAREER HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR? We have headlined a number of shows throughout the past year but playing to our growing support that turn up for each an every gig is by far the best highlight.
WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS? We are looking to start playing some festivals next year and prove we're a top Scottish band that can play and give something people can't help but love.
WHEN IS YOUR NEXT GLASGOW GIG? At Oran Mor on February 9.
