GLASGOW TIGERS skipper Shane Parker might be the oldest rider at the famous Glasgow speedway club but, as far as dancers Emma Bonella and Cheryl McSeveny are concerned, the Aussie veteran is definitely the new kid on the BLOK.

The girls immediately took to the Aussie veteran when the BLOK dance troupe dropped in at Ashfield Stadium ahead of the club's home fixture against Edinburgh on Sunday (4pm).

And Parker believe the A-Plant sponsored Tigers have a few scores to settle: "They beat us in every meeting last year but we will not allow that to happen again we can always arrange for the BLOK girls to distract them!"

Tigers have already been in competitive action when Manchester's Elite League giants, the Belle Vue Aces, came to town in the first leg of an inter-league challenge match. All the Glasgow riders came through in one piece and showed some dogged resistance against their more illustrious opponents, losing by just a single point.

Parker is joined by two fellow Aussies - 19-year-old duo Josh Grajczonek and Mitchell Davey, two Danes Peter Juul and Anders Andersen and two Scots, James Grieves and Ross Brady.
