WEST VIRGINIA: Seven people died when fire swept through an apartment block.

And authorities fear the death toll could still rise after last night's blaze in the five-storey building in Huntington.

Fourteen people were rescued by fire crews, and their condition is not yet known.

There are 64 flats in the building. Firefighters discovered three bodies on the top floor while fighting the blaze, and four more this morning as they continued their search.
