Evening Times duo Ronnie Cully and Matthew Lindsay join The Herald's Graeme Macpherson and Stewart Fisher of the Sunday Herald, to reflect on Scotland's crucial World Cup qualifying victory over Iceland.

The group discuss Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor's international futures, the next generation of talent coming through the ranks, and look ahead to the latest chapter of the SPL title race this weekend.

GEORGE BURLEY was today summoned to a meeting with his bosses at Hampden as the SFA's investigation into the chaos at Cameron House began.

But, as the Scotland manager met the hierarchy to explain why players were told they could go for a drink at 4am in the hotel bar on their return from Holland - a licence which disgraced skipper Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor extended to lunchtime the same day - star defender Gary Caldwell insisted the players who kept our South Africa World Cup 2010 dream alive with a 2-1 win over Iceland do back the embattled boss.

SFA chief executive Gordon Smith has vowed to hold a full probe into the events that created an unsavoury sideshow ahead of last night's crucial 2-1 win over Iceland.

Ferguson and McGregor - who were booed by the Tartan Army when their names were read out as subs - would have been binned completely for their boozy antics had a delegation of players not gone to Burley and asked for a reprieve But there have been claims today that heavy drinking amongst members of the squad also took place when Burley gathered his players at a training camp at St Andrew's back in February.

However, with our chances of a play-off place boosted by three crucial points, Celtic defender Caldwell today insisted there is NO agenda against Burley from within.

He insisted: "You always play for a manager. That is what you are here to do. You are here to represent the country and George is in charge and we want to do as well as we can, and get to the World Cup for him and for the rest of the country. We knew we had to win last night.

"We said before the game that if we win, we would have a chance. We have seven points which is a good position to be in. If we win our home games and the game in Norway I think we would qualify, but it's a case of trying to do that."
