AIDEN McGEADY couldn't conceal his delight as Celtic claimed the first silverware of the season. The winger, who scored with a late penalty to seal the win, was in fine form throughout the game, being at the centre of nearly every Celtic attack.
He was thrilled with his part in proceedings. "It was an unbelievable game," he said. "Rangers played well, the same as ourselves, but we just had that little bit more in extra-time.
"One minute they were up the park trying to get a goal, the next we were down getting a penalty."
When asked what it was like to beat Rangers in Cup final, an ecstatic McGeady claimed: "Unbelievable. Even better to score. It doesn't get any better than this."
