A BUS company's headquarters have been destroyed after being set on fire.

The incident comes five weeks after three buses were burnt out in a blaze at the depot.

Police investigating the latest fire at the offices of Avondale Coaches, Clydebank, say they are treating it as suspicious.

The blaze broke out over the weekend in Cable Depot Road, an industrial estate set off Dumbarton Road.

Although the area is likely to have been quiet because of the holiday, police hope someone may have seen something that could be of use to them.

Detective Constable Angela Mulgrew, from Clydebank CID, said: "This is the second time the company has been targeted in five weeks and we are trying to find a motive for the attacks.

"The first incident happened in August when three buses were set alight and destroyed.

At the moment we are not sure if the two are connected.

"I would ask anyone with information to call me.

"Anyone who knows anything about either fire or who was in the area of Cable Depot Road or Dumbarton Road at the weekend and saw anyone acting suspiciously should contact me."

Detective Constable Mulgrew can be contacted at Clydebank CID on 0141 532 3336.
