IT was game on' for kids across Glasgow as they were put through their paces.
Youngsters at the city's Kelvinhall Sports Arena and nursery school pupils in Tollcross kicked off a fitness drive.
The 2014 Commonwealth Games-themed PE festival in the West End welcomed 32 primary schools to get active and help keep the momentum going in the build up to the big event.
The arena was transformed into a kaleidoscope of colours for the event.
Commonwealth gold medal winning gymnast Steve Frew was on hand to provided some inspiration to youngsters dreaming of taking part in the mammoth event in six years time.
And everyone at the venue, including adults, were challenged to take up a new sport every year until 2014. Pupils from P6 were chosen to take part because they are the age most likely to be competing in the Games.
Over in the East End, 900 nursery pupils were put through their paces at the Common-health event.
Children as young as four took part in the four-day festival, which runs until tomorrow, in Tollcross one of the main venues for the 2014 Games.
