Detectives are today questioning two men arrested on suspicion of murdering a severely disabled man.

James Hughes, 22, who needed 24-hour care and had a mental age of 18 months, had been missing since the weekend.

West Mercia Police discovered a body at a property in the Church Hill area of Redditch, Worcestershire, yesterday afternoon.

The two arrested men are currently helping police with their inquiries at police stations in Kidderminster and Redditch.

A post-mortem examination is under way to establish the cause of death.

Mr Hughes and his mother, 39-year-old Heather Wardle, were reported missing from their home in Loxley Close in the Church Hill area of Redditch on Saturday.

Teenagers found Ms Wardle's body in an area of "undergrowth" .
