A MAN found guilty of strangling his step-sister with her own bra has failed for a second time to clear his name.
A trial more than 20 years ago heard Iain Murray - then only 17 - had made detailed confessions about the murder in Bluebell Woods, Drumchapel, Glasgow.
Appeal judges in Edinburgh rejected claims the key confession evidence was unreliable because he was a vulnerable teenager under pressure.
The Court of Criminal Appeal also upheld the conviction of Brian Wilson, also found guilty of murdering Alison Murray, 20, in May 1986.
Wilson, who was 18 at the time, died in March while serving a sentence for separate offences.
Murray, who has been released from prison, was in court yesterday to hear the result, but left without comment.
