A PUNTER stands to win £16,000 if Andy Murray wins Wimbledon - but bookies have been unable to make contact to remind him about his bet.
Mike Griffiths, from Denbighshire in north-east Wales, staked £80 in August 2004 on the Scot to win Wimbledon by 2010 ... when his odds were 200/1.
William Hill's spokesman, Graham Sharpe, said: "We've tried to make contact to see whether Mr Griffiths may be planning a visit to Wimbledon.
"However, he's apparently on a touring holiday in northern Spain - with a malfunctioning mobile phone.
"His family can't reach him to tell him how Andy Murray - and his bet - are getting on."
