RANGERS are facing an Homecoming Scottish Cup final injury sweat over Pedro Mendes and Maurice Edu.

The midfield duo are both nursing thigh knocks sustained in the SPL title clinching success at Tannadice last Sunday.

And Gers no 2 Ally McCoist revealed: "We have one or two injury concerns for the Scottish Cup final. Pedro Mendes and Maurice Edu have both suffered knocks from the final league game with Dundee United.

"Pedro has a knock to the thigh just above the knee and Maurice has an almost identical injury. Our medical staff are very hopeful that Maurice will be able to train tomorrow but we will give Pedro as long as possible to prove his fitness.

"Both are important players for us and if they make it they will improve our hopes winning the cup final. However if either is unavailable an opportunity for either Barry Ferguson or Lee McCulloch to come in will arise.

"We are more than comfortable with either of these replacements in that department."
