POLICE are searching for clues as to how a man found seriously hurt in a Glasgow street came by his injuries.
The man, who had suffered head injuries, was found by a passer-by in Bardowie Street near Barloch Street, Saracen in the north of the city.
It it not yet clear how he sustained his injuries and police are keeping an open mind as to whether he may have been attacked or had fallen.
Emergency services treated the man at the scene, at around 10pm last Friday, before he was taken to the city's Southern General Hospital, where staff have described his condition as serious'.
The man, whom police have not yet named, is known to frequent the Saracen area and is described as white, 5ft 10in tall and slim with receding dark hair.
Detective Constable Kevin Jamieson of Maryhill CID said: "I am keen to speak to any witnesses who would have been in the area around this time who may have seen this male, or anyone who may have information with regards the incident, to contact me."
