DOZENS of bikers took to the streets to deliver some Christmas cheer to kids in hospital.

More than 100 riders, many dressed in full Santa outfits, hit the road to take part in a colourful parade.

The Yorkhill Christmas Toy Run is held every year and snakes thought the streets of the West End of Glasgow.

The bikers met up in Kelvin Way and travelled to Yorkhill Hospital laden with presents.

The riders cheered up the kids, many of whom will spend Christmas Day in hospital.

Riders had to label their gift with the age of the child it would suit.

Yorkhill fundraising manager Joan MacLeod said: "This event has been going for years and the kids appreciate it.

"The sight of the bikes roaring up to the hospital was quite a spectacle."

Last week, Yorkhill youngsters took part in a live video link up with Santa.

He took time out to talk to 50 sick kids, who were each granted a personal audience with him using a hi-tech web link.

Santa appeared on a screen at Yorkhill's MediCinema direct from his home in Lapland.
