TWO teenage thugs who dragged a man off the street and dumped him down an embankment have each been caged for almost four years.

Martin Crawford and Sean Toye pounced on Benjamin Dougan as he walked home on January 21.

Their victim was left badly injured after being battered and hit with stones. He was only found when police heard his desperate cries.

Crawford, 19, of Montrose Street, Drumry, and Toye, 17, Collins Street, Clydebank - both first-time offenders - returned to the High Court in Glasgow yesterday after earlier admitting to attacking Mr Dougan, 37.

Judge Lord Brailsford locked them up for three years and nine months each, reducing the sentence from five years due to their guilty pleas.

Mr Dougan had been trying to hail a taxi in the city's Yoker after visiting family nearby.

The two thugs - who he did not know - punched and kicked him and dragged him to wasteland, where they hit him with stones and hurled him down an embankment.
