DAVIE WILSON once played alongside Charlie Adam and Ross McCormack in the Rangers youth team.
Having drifted away from the big time, the 21-year-old Glaswegian is now back on track at Ardrossan.
Wilson played a huge part in Winton's first trophy success in 12 years by scoring in the Ayrshire Cup Final against Kilwinning - before limping off with a suspected broken foot.
After leaving Rangers, Wilson signed for Partick Thistle and captained their U-19s for two years before going to Cowdenbeath, then had spells at Bo'ness and Bellshill.
He is now itching to play at a higher level again and hopes that can be with Ardrossan in the Super First Division.
He said: "I only signed up in January but had no hesitation in agreeing to stay for another year. I know we can make a serious push for promotion next season because we have nobody to fear in the Ayrshire District League.
"There isn't a lot of money at the club but there is a superb team spirit and the guys all play for each other."
