The Sunshine Underground Thu 3 May 7pm QMU, 22 University Gardens, Glasgow £10 (returns only) 0870 169 0100 Here recently as part of the NME Indie Rave tour, the Sunshine Underground are actually a more traditional indie-rock act than the likes of Klaxons or CSS. With a little bit of punk and some funk thrown in, the four-piece are - irony of ironies - of quite a sunny disposition, so have come around at just the right time for a summer that will apparently be so hot, dipping yourself in molten lava will be preferable. They recently won Live Band of the Year at Leeds Music Awards, which would doubtless seem more impressive if I could think of any other acts from there.
