BLACKBURN Rovers striker Josh King has been ruled out of Saturday’s Championship clash at Bournemouth.

King came off with a hamstring injury in Tuesday’s 2-1 home loss to Norwich City just four minutes after being brought on at half-time for Jordan Rhodes.

Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, who confirmed Tommy Spurr will be available on Saturday after illness, said: “He’s been for a scan and it’s just going to be a case of monitoring it, I’m afraid, at this moment in time. We’ll have a clearer idea of it once it’s properly settled down.

“But it’s safe to say he won’t be involved this weekend and then we’ll just have to reassess then and go from there. “
