VERSATILE young Blackburn Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan has joined Burton Albion on a month's loan.

The Republic of Ireland U21s international, 20, who impressed in a midfield holding role for Rovers in their U21s Premier League draw with Arsenal on Friday, will remain with the League Two outfit until November 22.

It is the first time that Lenihan, who has been an unused substitute for Gary Bowyer's senior side on three occasions, has spent time on loan away from the club.

He goes straight into Burton's squad for their match at Carlisle United tonight.
