FORMER Blackburn Rovers star Colin Hendry is recovering at home after undergoing three operations this week.

The former Scotland international defender suffered ruptured tendons in his wrist, which then got infected. Mr Hendry, 48, who recently left Ewood Park after having returned in a coaching capacity, was first taken to hospital on Friday.

It came just a day after he received a vile tweet making fun of the death of his wife Denise, who died in 2009.

Daughter Rheagan said: “He has had three operations as it was infected so they had to clean it out twice.

“Then on Wednesday they repaired the tendon.

“He is feeling a bit groggy now and taking it easy.”
