Rovers offer fans a 'golden' ticket

This Is Lancashire: Rovers offer fans a 'golden' ticket Rovers offer fans a 'golden' ticket

BLACKBURN Rovers are to give away 20 ‘golden season tickets’ to celebrate the anniversary of their Premier League title triumph – and they have also announced only modest price rises for the new campaign.

The 2014/15 season will be the 20th anniversary of Rovers’ title-winning campaign in 1994/95 and Rovers are marking the milestone by handing out 20 free season tickets. More details will be unveiled by the club today.

Season tickets go on sale today and Rovers are again offering one of the cheapest season ticket deals in the country, as well as retaining the ‘Premier League pledge’ – meaning that fans will get 75 per cent off season tickets for 2015/16 if the club go up.

The cheapest adult season ticket at Ewood Park next term will cost £249, with under 17s prices frozen at £60.

Rovers boss Gary Bowyer said: “We have tried to build a young, energetic team, playing for each other, committed to the cause – one that fans can identify with.

“I hope they will join us for the forthcoming season and support us in getting this club back where it belongs – the Premier League.”

Season tickets in the Riverside Stand, Blackburn End and Darwen End cost £225 for adults a year ago.

For 2014/15 Riverside Stand season tickets are priced at £249, with Blackburn End and Darwen End tickets priced at £279.

Tickets in the Jack Walker Stand wings have increased from £340 to £379, while seats in the centre of the Jack Walker Stand are up to £429 from £399.

Rovers say the prices are the second cheapest in the Championship behind Blackpool.

Tickets for 17 to 21-year-olds and senior citizens will cost £159 in the Riverside Stand, £179 in the Blackburn End and Darwen End, £199 in the Jack Walker wings and £309 in the Jack Walker centre.

Under 17s tickets cost £60 in all areas of the ground apart from the centre of the Jack Walker Stand, where they are priced at £99.

Under eights can get a free season ticket in the Blackburn End Family Stand when an adult or senior citizen season ticket is also purchased.

A golden ticket hey!!!!
Well as I'm buying mine I don't think I will need one. Also the premier league pledge still standing sounds good as this year we must have a real chance. Just need a right back and another centre half and will be almost there. Oh and hang to Rhodes aswell.
Roll on next season just a small matter of the World Cup 1st.

Premier League Pledge? LOL!

A more realistic proposition would be to offer fans a League One pledge to soften the blow of the forthcoming relegation. Offer fans a 90% discount if they pre-order their ticket for the 3rd tier.

Superb.

Another one to remember from the most deluded supporters in football. I will throw this one back at you soon enough.

And in case you missed it, your very own derelict Riverside stand has recently hit the news amid rumours of closure based on further subsidence and a reluctance from your legendary owners to pay for its repair. Which in a way could be a blessing given that you can't even fill three stands let alone four. The number of blue seats visible on a match day at Ewood is a true disgrace to the memory of the man who paid for all you glory hunters to sit down. Shameful arrogance.

8th.

The eighth best team in the Championship, because if I'm not mistaken you finished in 8th place.

However, given the financial turmoil that's heading your way and the necessity of further extreme cost cutting measures to reduce your losses by £25million, I suspect you'll see that 8th place will be far from reach in the coming season.

Great value? How so when your club is currently £60million in debt? Someone has to pay this money back and I'm pretty sure it won't be coming out of Venky's pocket. The cost of giving away season tickets now will take yet another huge bate out of your club when Mr Administrator is running the show.

Great club. LOL.

Once again Rovers putting their bitter neighbours to shame. Whilst one club looks to cash in on their glory season by milking loyal supporters for every penny they can get out of them by charging £700 for season tickets and forcing £100 'retainers' on people, the other continues a tradition of offering one of the cheapest deals in the league at a time when many football supporters struggle with the cost of supporting their team.

Its working out about £10 a game for adults next season at Ewood. Quite a comparison to the utterly disgraceful £30-£40 a game charged at Burnley.

Why don't Burnley use some of that windfall to do the same? Surely if Burnley's board of directors were the great local supporters that they claim to be, that understand the town and its people etc etc. then they would understand that they are going to be pricing thousands out of enjoying a season in the sun. Say what you like about Venkys, but they don't try to make money out of loyal supporters.

It wouldn't surprise me if next season Rovers were once again getting higher gates than Burnley. Now that would be good.

What subsidence?
Ignore it, it hasn't a bloody clue at the best of times, it's an old rumour quashed ages ago.

"Once again Rovers putting their bitter neighbours to shame."

Although the hilarity in this comment is all too evident without me clarifying, I have to say the delusion sweeping through the Shadsworth area is quite astounding at present. I honestly believe someone has been tampering with the latest shipment of Pot Noodles as the no-dads appear to be on another planet.

Your club finished a dire season in 8th place. You never once climbed higher than that position throughout the whole season. Over 46 games you were the eighth best team and therefore enter your third season in the Championship still losing astronomical amounts of money and saddled with a debt of over £60million. A few facts to put your comment into context...

Burnley were in the top 3 for 8 months.

Burnley beat Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Burnley took 4 points off Blackburn Rovers, which should have been six but we won't complain.

Burnley prevented Blackburn Rovers from reaching the play-off's.

Burnley are a Premier League club.

The fact that you have to resort to a comparison of season ticket prices in a vain attempt to have something to squawk about shows just how much we have tormented you this season.

Who care's how much a season ticket is, this is Premier League football, I personally don't care about price increases as I have been rewarded for my loyalty over the years and will be so again next season.

The fact that your club continues to foot the bill in a desperate attempt to get more through the turnstiles shows just what a farce of a club you have become, quite possibly the worst run club in the country.

What will be really good next season will be watching you morons struggle once again to keep your heads above water as FFP cleans you out. I can literally smell the fear wafting down the M65 already.

Staying down forever, and I think one or two of you know it.

If you had asked a group of Burnley supporters in November 2010 to take control of Blackburn Rovers and do as they saw fit in order to run the club into the ground, they couldn't possibly have done a more effective job than the Venky's have in the time available.

It's as if Venky's want to destroy you from the inside. Perhaps the snowball incident could have far reaching consequences in the longer term...

Giving away season tickets is a recipe for disaster for a club reliant on this money such as Blackburn Rovers. With a massive wage bill and the continuation of ridiculous contracts for underperforming players, the club needs to be increasing it's gate receipts not reducing them.

If you should fall into League One on the back of cost cutting to meet the FFP requirements then I see major trouble ahead when prices have to be returned to a sustainable level. The result longer term is a complete restructuring on a smaller scale and Blackburn Rovers returning to the days of lower league football and a 5k - 6k supporter base.

Sad times ahead for sure.

would have thought with FFP about to apparently completely rip us apart and send us spiralling into the abyss , they would have been putting them up. Or maybe there isn't really an issue and its just a load of nonsense.

Personally I think its a great offer and I will be renewing again. Their is real potential in this squad and promotion has to be the target. Our last ten games were very encouraging and if we had just been a bit braver by not playing that second holding midfielder a few of those draws would have been wins.

I hate to have to agree with you but that is the reality-whether you like the Venkys or not we must support the club if we want to survive as a viable premiership club and sustain it , without the owners money to offset the rising costs our club could quite easily become a liability and end up in administration, although unlikely we cannot afford to be complacent. l look forward to an exciting season and l hope the stay away fans finally realise we made our point and now is the time to bury the hatchet and support this great club and get it back were it belongs.

So it's Venkys In then? Yes? No snowballs next time they visit and a standing ovation from the entire Ewood Park crowd? Of course it won't be, because you fools can't see beyond the end of your big neanderthal foreheads and realise that Blackburn with Venkys = survival and Blackburn - Venkys = financial oblivion.

So I am sure we can expect a good majority of those 'Missing 15000' fans that you and your ilk have been informing everyone that were not attending Ewood as they were protesting about Venkys, to return to the fold next season?

You lot are just hilarious, just because you got relegated from the Premier League (As do three clubs EVERY season by the way), you dolts took it as some kind of a personal insult and decided that someone had to be blamed so it was: Venkys, Shebby Singh, Steve Kean, Jerome Anderson, etc etc were ALL to blame. There is no reason to blame anyone, it is just footballing fate that once your Fat Jack money ran out and your couldn't artificially compete with the bigger clubs, you were bound to get relegated.
Instead of dealing with it and getting behind your club you all decided to protest and embarrass yourselves by crying and turning every atmosphere at home and away games into a poisonous protest-fest of stupidness.

You all know right that you aren't going up next season? You scraped up to a pezzy eighth place last season despite your best unbeaten run for eversomany years, but lets be honest you would have been bummed off any of the clubs that finished in the play-off positions.

Cue the Venkys In banners from the most deluded and fickle fans in football - maybe your owners will eventually be able to actually attend a match without being in fear of reprisals from you knuckle draggers?

Just lol.
What's up Charlie, worried we might get bigger gates than you? Imagine the shame.

Just for the record no one see's Venkys as football saviours, it just appears that they are actually attempting to right some of the horrific wrongs they were guilty of - but in true dingle style you chose to manipulate it to suit your latest rubbish attempt at banter.....
Meanwhile, dingles are having to re-mortgage their caravans to afford a season ticket. Just mega lol.

I would just brace yourselves for a plethora of free transfers (It looks like you are fighting with League Two Southend for one player - lol) and unwanted rejects as Mr Monotone Bowyer attempts to turn a the sows ear that is Blackburn into a silk purse that matches the acheivements of Burnley.
Oh dear Charles, oh very dear.

I haven't really got the time or interest to pick through that horrific attempt at banter other than to say we've been relegated before and don't seem to remember any Brian Kidd out banners. Words such as achievements & jealous in the context of Rovers and Burnley go hand in hand - we've achieved what you never will (and don't compare Div 1 half a century ago to the Premier League era) and the word jealous should be incorporated into your town crest - and yet here you are using those very words because you think one good season erases history. IT'S HILARIOUS!
Every single one of you are world class bull sh*tters - the myths, lies, hypocrisy, contradiction just oozes from you without even realising it - just mega fookin lol. MEGA FOOKIN LOL!
Burnley have achieved a place in the Premier League WITHOUT the massive financial investment that Blackburn Rovers needed. We have done it twice. To reach the Premier League having spent just £450k is a truly astounding achievement considering the pay-off runs upwards of £120million.

The jealousy is of course all yours as you and your fellow circus clowns frantically try to pick holes in what was a truly glorious season for Burnley FC, while your own tin-pot outfit are now saddled with horrific debts and must sell to survive under the sensible governance of Financial Fair Play.

We beat you, we went up, we kept you down. What a season. It's 2014 and we are now better than you in every single department.

Better football team
Better manager
Better coaching staff
Better support
Better boardroom
Better prospects
Better future

You simply refuse to accept that in the space of 3 short seasons your whole world has gone belly-up. I will say this once again. Blackburn Rovers are....

STAYING.
DOWN.
FOREVER.

Late injury time second half equalizers and failure to beat Yeovil stopped Blackburn Rovers from reaching the playoffs, not Burnley.

It was only last August that Burnley fans wondered how a £100m that was supposed to set the club up for a decade had been squandered in half the time, worried about the amount of debt the club owed its directors and feared administration was just around the corner. You got your miracle. Dyche is keeping the door open for the claret heroes. He sure is! Of 23 players in the squad, four released. four offered contract, one not sure if he wants to play for Burnley in the Premier League, Kightly backoff to his parent club Stoke and Premier League teams after Ings and Trippier. Trouble fielding a team at this rate. Still here are the six transfer listed at Rovers.

The golden ticket can be forgiven as a gimmick. The failure to charge a market value for season tickets and gratuitously throwing away £3m+ turnover should Rovers reach the Premier league next season raise grave doubts as to whether the business that is Blackburn Rovers Football Club is being run as a going concern.

It's hard to mount a serious promotion challenge if key players aren't retained. Wasn't Scott Danns a key player for us? He certainly was for Crystal Palace helping to keep them in the Premier League and finish where they did. That ought to add a few millions to the transfer fee paid to Rovers. Venkys have cashed in on every player they can and I see no reason why Rhodes will be any different. Indeed, the way Gestede is being talked up ought set alarm bells ringing that Rhodes will be sold..

Had Allardyce and Messrs' Williams et al. had been left to get on with their jobs, Blackburn Rovers would have been in no danger of relegation.

I beg to differ with your first couple of paragraphs, had you beaten Burnley at Ewood, for example if Jordan 'He scores when he wants' Rhodes actually wanted to score instead of hitting the post when clean through with the score at 1-0 to Rovers, you would have probably gone on to win the game and those three points would have meant you were definitely, 100% in the play-offs. He didn't want to, therefore you didn't win the game and you didn't finish on 73 points that would have got you into the play-offs - such a shame.

The rest of your post though I have to say is the most rational and realistic post on here from any Rovers fan, you seem to actually have a grasp on the overall situation and your head seems to not be buried in builder's sand.

Now that would be good.[/p]
"Once again Rovers putting their bitter neighbours to shame." Although the hilarity in this comment is all too evident without me clarifying, I have to say the delusion sweeping through the Shadsworth area is quite astounding at present. Staying down forever, and I think one or two of you know it.[/p]
Had Allardyce and Messrs' Williams et al. had been left to get on with their jobs, Blackburn Rovers would have been in no danger of relegation.[/p]

You simply refuse to accept that in the space of 3 short seasons your whole world has gone belly-up. I will say this once again. Blackburn Rovers are....

STAYING.
DOWN.
FOREVER.
And yet you still devote your life on here. Not the actions of someone who supported such a superior club is it? That's because your clubs not superior and you're not a supporter.

I'm actually mildly embarrassed on your behalf that you fail to see the hypocrisy in everyone of your revolting posts. One day you'll look back at this period of your life and regret that you missed Burnleys best season in 50 years because you were to busy trolling to feed your addiction with the very club that's made you cry all your life.

I suppose it's a form of sadomasochism - you crave what's tortured you all your life and now the tortures eased (briefly) you just can't let go. Kinda funny really, don't you think?

I'm actually mildly embarrassed on your behalf that you fail to see the hypocrisy in everyone of your revolting posts. One day you'll look back at this period of your life and regret that you missed Burnleys best season in 50 years because you were to busy trolling to feed your addiction with the very club that's made you cry all your life.

I suppose it's a form of sadomasochism - you crave what's tortured you all your life and now the tortures eased (briefly) you just can't let go. Kinda funny really, don't you think?
Once again the desperate no-dad ignores the points and commences a personal attack on the provider of the points with which he struggles to accept.

I have actually missed nothing and have enjoyed a great season during which we have beaten you clowns on your own patch, been promoted to the Premier League, prevented you lot from reaching the play-off's as proved in the post above, and seen arguably the best football played outside of the top flight.

You and the rest of the stiff's on here can keep excitedly pointing to the fact the Burnley aren't one of the big clubs, but we are certainly on our way back and our place in the top 20 elite clubs in the country is well deserved.

It's not "a form of sadomasochism", however watching you clueless fools desperately trying to find a positive amid the wreckage of your dying football club is pleasure enough. You can torture yourself, I'm just taking the p!ss out of you.

And seeing you morons in the Championship next season with your pants around your ankles once again will be more than just kinda funny, it will be absolutely hilarious!

One day you'll look back at this period of your life and regret that you missed Burnleys best season in 50 years because you were to busy trolling to feed your addiction with the very club that's made you cry all your life. Wow, really? Perhaps as much a £million? Does that make you feel better, when your £15million worth of strikers fired you to the heady heights of 8th place.

What a shambles.

No of course you didn't protest when you got relegated under Kidd, wasn't JW still alive and therefore able to bankroll you to promotion again?

And for some reason you don't want Burnley to compare winning the top division half a century ago with Blackburn winning it almost a quarter of a century ago, because apparently they are different??? PMSL alrighty then!

Why on earth would I be jealous of your club, because you ONCE were in the top flight? I don't know if you have checked but we ARE NOW PREMIER LEAGUE, and therefore are superior to you in every way, shape or form - I mean after all you are just a mid-table 'Chumpionship' club are you not?

Care to spell out the myths, lies, hypocrisy and contradiction in my posts?

Thought not

Mega Lolz
MYTH
Jack was still alive, so in Dingland he must obviously have bankrolled a promotion by spending billions on the likes of David Dunn, Damien Duff, Damien Johnson, Marlon Broomes, Martin Taylor - all of which cost the grand total of zero pounds.

LIES
So Burnley, the self righteous, self proclaimed wonder club would not want one of their own, a true fan, who's made his fortune through a successful business in their home town invest his fortune into their club?

HYPOCRISY
Burnley fans would be quite happy for someone like Venkys to take over and systematically all but destroy their club? You wouldn't have protested? You'd have all just carried on with not a care in the world like you did with poor old Owen Coyle?

CONTRADICTION
What happened 5-10-15-20 years ago is ancient history. That 7-0 aggregate derby humiliation for example simply wiped from memory. And the 6 seasons 2 divisions lower than Rovers? - means nothing. And yet Burnleys last League Championship win half a century ago is as fresh in the mind as ever.

So Charlie boy, you thought wrong didn't you. LOL LOL fookin LOL.
You & your tobacco chewin' cousins need to get together and get some decent banter material. Suppose it's difficult when you've not much to work with. Still well done on the Dyche thing, he's top drawer and FAR to good for a club like that. He won't be there long - you must know that?

Hope you get all the luck you deserve.

Ha ha, not at all, £450k is the actual amount we got him for, sorry to disappoint you.

So nice try but ultimately not good enough, like a metaphor for you whole season is it not?

Ha ha ha your selective facts are quite funny as is your desperate attempt to avoid the issue - here's another little snapshot of your promotion team of 2001 seeing as you only managed to mention the players that didn't cost anything:

McAteer - £4 million
Short £1.7 million
Flitcroft - £3.5 million
Hignett - £2.2 million
Blake - £4.25 million
Jansen - £4.1 million
Bent - £2 million
Gillespie - £2.3 million

So the EIGHT players above cost a total of £24 MILLION pounds, and bear in mind this was 13 YEARS AGO, but no of course Jack Walker didn't bankroll you in the Championship.

Game set and match I think.

It is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Better football team? You have three of four decent players and you play to their strengths, whenever I have seen you on the box you have a tendency to soak up pressure then catch the other side on the break. Pretty boring to be honest, but it does get results.

And two of those players if social media is to be believed aren't going to sign new contracts unless the offers are seriously increased to PL standards.

Better manager? Time will tell, he inherited the bulk of the squad and backroom staff from the previous manager, (who I think on the evidence of this season is extremely underrated) lets see how Dyche does now he has to sort it out for himself, the portents aren't good though are they, see if he is in a job by Christmas.

GB on the other hand is having to build his own squad from scratch which is a somewhat more exacting proposition, so under the circumstances I would put it 51 - 49 in his favour at present.

Ditto better coaching staff.

Better boardroom, really can't stop laughing at that, at least we only have Venky's in charge, you have a group of penny pinching shysters who have been queuing up all season so they can take their cut of whatever you earn next season, like they did last time.

The only club in the country to sign more board members than players in a season.

Didn't one of them go bankrupt and quit the club after you were relegated last time only to rejoin this year? Probably smells another financial killing.

And you think a board that is ripping off it's own fans and treating them like s**t is better than ours? Dream on moron.

And as for better fans, Every club and supporter thinks it's fans are the best but an higher percentage of Rovers fans have stuck with the club through possibly the worst time in it's history, where would you have been in that situation?

Better prospects....my Gawd, you really do need to wake up to reality £16 million to "spend" on players to keep you in the PL? The only people at Burnley with "better prospects" are your board.

Better future? What happened after you were relegated last time?

What's up Charlie, worried we might get bigger gates than you? Imagine the shame.

STAYING.
DOWN.
FOREVER.

Just wow, a few points that I just couldn't let lie.

51-49 in favour of Dyche over Bowyer? Really? Absolute comedy gold

Burnley play pretty boring football do they? Scored more goals than you, conceded less goals than you, won more games, lost less games, got 23 more points, finished much higher etc etc ad infinitum.

'If social media is to be believed' - There is your problem, don't believe social media you clown.

the rest is just the rantings of an insecure madman.

Just can't handle the unpalatable truth can you?

Good at dishing it out but you can't take it can you?

Ings and Trippier will be gone long before Rhodes because they are both good enough to play in the PL and want PL salaries and contracts that reflect that.

To keep them Burnley will have to offer them the upgrade, so what about the rest of the squad? Not going to be happy if they don't get their cut are they?

That's how it all starts to fall apart.

Not going be an awful lot left out of the massive £16 million transfer kitty either is there?

The Burnley board however won't want to loose out, that's why they haven't invested any of the potential earnings from the coming season in keeping season ticket prices down.

Truly shameful way to treat loyal fans especially when looking at the offers made to Rovers fans, there really is no comparison is there?

If we go up next season people who buy season tickets this season will have a 75% reduction in prices, Rovers will bear the cost.

Burnley fans have to pay a £100 waiver up front, what a joke.

Purchases of the back of profits made from the sale of players and TV money. It's called good business - Initial outlay versus return.

Shearer for bought £3mill sold for £15mill
Sutton bought for £5mill sold for £10mill
Le Saux £500K sold back to Chelsea for £5mill...

That trend continued with profits made from Duff, Bentley & Jones all around the £17million mark.

Jack had already spent the vast majority of his investment and wanted the club to be well run and self sufficient - which it was until Venkys arrived, but that wouldn't have mattered in Burnley because you'd never dream of protesting or venting your frustrations at such owners! ANOTHER MEGA LOL

Which brings me onto the issue of choosing to avoid the Lies, Hypocrisy and Contradiction? No answers???? Thought not.

It's like candy from a baby but easier...

By the way, check this tatt' out. See the date? The shame of it. We own you. Always have, always will XXX

Hope you get all the luck you deserve.[/p]
Ha ha ha your selective facts are quite funny as is your desperate attempt to avoid the issue - here's another little snapshot of your promotion team of 2001 seeing as you only managed to mention the players that didn't cost anything: McAteer - £4 million Short £1.7 million Flitcroft - £3.5 million Hignett - £2.2 million Blake - £4.25 million Jansen - £4.1 million Bent - £2 million Gillespie - £2.3 million So the EIGHT players above cost a total of £24 MILLION pounds, and bear in mind this was 13 YEARS AGO, but no of course Jack Walker didn't bankroll you in the Championship. Game set and match I think. It is like shooting fish in a barrel.[/p]
Purchases of the back of profits made from the sale of players and TV money. It's called good business - Initial outlay versus return. Shearer for bought £3mill sold for £15mill Sutton bought for £5mill sold for £10mill Le Saux £500K sold back to Chelsea for £5mill... ANOTHER MEGA LOL Which brings me onto the issue of choosing to avoid the Lies, Hypocrisy and Contradiction? No answers???? Thought not. It's like candy from a baby but easier... By the way, check this tatt' out. See the date? The shame of it. We own you.
I am getting the feeling Noddy, that there is indeed a bit of a softening towards our owners at present.
This driven by the retention of 'one of us' i.e. GB, in position as ringmaster.
A developing squad to be proud of, and an apparent willingness of our owns to try to put some semblance of stability back.

I would add in seconding that it would be great for all the stay away's that hold BRFC close to their hearts to get down Ewood again an give the new BRFC squad all the support they deserve, and just see what we can achieve.

So why are you now £60million in debt, facing a transfer ban and administration given that your losses cannot be brought back to a sustainable level without a complete clear out all higher earners?

The bit you have forgotten is called business planning. An area which your club has proven to be rather poor at given your recent accounts. Burnley on the other hand will be financially secure many many years after your tin-pot club has fallen into the hands of the suits and been ripped to pieces as per Portsmouth.

It is but a matter of time before you get your rightful comeuppance.

Speaking of LOL's, The biggest LOL of all has to go to poor old Jack Walker himself who, on the day of your relegation, stood sobbing in the stands as his £100million+ investment was flushed down the toilet in front of his very eyes. LOL.

You lot would give ANYTHING to be a well run club with supporters in the boardroom once again but sadly those days are long gone and your future involves clinging onto your 2nd tier status until your clueless Indian owners, much like the Walker trust before them, decide enough is enough and drop you like a bad habit. Then it's a whistle-stop tour of League One before you find your feet in the old division 4. Cheerio.

In Gary Bowyer they actually have a manager who has blue and white running through his veins and while he still has a lot to learn he is proving he knows a good player who has a decent level of skill and just as importantly a great attitude, and how to build a squad that can play decent football and win on not a lot of money spent.

In Alan Myers they now actually have someone who understands the PR and commercial side of the game and has contacts inside one of the biggest sports network in the world, Sky.

A chairman who simply does what a chairman should do with little fuss or bother and a small board that follows suit.

Still huge hurdles to overcome but Venky's are finally showing a modicum of understanding of what is required to run a football club in this country, i.e; let the football people do it.

It might be two, possibly three seasons before Venky's throw off the yolk of the Kean and Shebby era, we fans have paid a hard emotional price for their errors, theirs has been and will continue to be a financial disaster for some time to come.

We might deride them but there is one simple, salient, fact, there are no stupid billionaire's, despite everything they continue to support us financially and have the financial clout to see it through.

Pain, physical, emotional or financial is temporary.
