LIAM Feeney is closing in on a move to Bolton Wanderers following a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers.
Feeney joined Rovers on loan from Millwall in March and made six appearances for the club – five of them as a substitute.
Rovers boss Gary Bowyer had been interested in signing Feeney this summer, with the winger out of contract at Millwall.
But the 27-year-old was not at the top of Rovers’ shopping list and it now looks as though he will instead join Bolton.
Sources at Wanderers say Feeney has agreed terms over a deal with Bolton after a brief but successful loan spell with the Trotters earlier in the season.
Feeney had made only four appearances for Bolton when Millwall decided to recall him in October.
Bowyer is currently in India for talks with Rovers owners Venky’s over his summer budget, and will not start making moves in the transfer market until he returns.
