BLACKBURN Rovers left-back Tommy Spurr has signed a new contract extension, tying him to the club until 2016.
Spurr penned a two-year deal after joining Rovers on a free transfer from Championship rivals Doncaster Rovers in August.
But after a highly successful first season at Ewood Park, in which he scored three goals in 43 consecutive league appearances, he has been rewarded with a 12-month extension.
The popular Spurr, who finished third in Rovers' player of the year poll, said: "I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first season with the club and I’m delighted to extend my contract by a further year."
