VOTING is now open for Blackburn Rovers supporters to choose their player of the year.

After another prolific campaign in which he has scored 24 goals in 43 league games, reigning player of the year Jordan Rhodes is sure to be in the running to retain the title.

But he could well be pushed close by the likes of midfield playmaker Tom Cairney, who has become a firm fan favourite since he signed from Hull City.

Other new arrivals have also impressed.

Left back Tommy Spurr has been a model of consistency and winger Craig Conway has been a revelation since he followed impressive targetman Rudy Gestede from Cardiff City in January.

Supporters can cast their votes via email (dagnew@rovers.co.uk), Twitter (@OneRovers) or in person at the club shops at Ewood Park or in Blackburn town centre.

Voting closes on Wednesday, April 30 and the winner will be announced at the final game of the season at home to Wigan Athletic on Saturday, May 3.

Got to be Rhodes simply for his attitude and goals in another season when the team has under achieved. How many would he score in a good team? Hopefully we'll see next season with Conway & Marshall on the wings.

Yes, it would have to be Rhodes and the others who have been good for us are Marshall, Cairney, Gestede and Conway. Conway has simply been impressive since he joined the Rovers - and at a bargain, too! Hope that GB will be able to keep all these players together next season.

For player of the season it has to be someone who has been with us from the start.

Rhodes is the obvious choice.

Apart from a dodgy start Spurr has played well, Lowe gets on with it despite some fans getting on his back, Hanley has been pretty good but his discipline lets him down.

Dunny for his usually brilliant little cameo's, Cairney?

But for me it has to be Rhodes.

I would hand it to Etuhu...............
....that is if he promised to hand in his contract immediately.

My rateing in Rovers players this season.
GB just average manager. he did a god job to consolidate the team with youth power and togetherness.
Yes, No.1 Jordan Rhodes is the obvious choice.
No.2 Conway
No.3 Spurr
No.4 Cainey
No.5 Marshall
No.6. Gestede
No.7. Paul Robinson
No.8 Jason Lowe
No.9 Josh King
No.10 David Dunn
No.11.Corry Evans
No.12 Eastwood
No.13 Killa
No.14 Chriss Taylor

Conway & Gestede has simply been impressive since they joined

Non perpormed players.
Jake Kane ( we lost 2 match because of his simple error)
Enthu ( we gifted a penalty and lost points)
Grand Hanley ( We gifted wigen a win due to his unwanted red card and absense of next three matchs)
DJ Campbell - never get a playing time under GB.
Best - Not performed to support the team.
Mistake in management : Scott Dann sale. we colapse our shape as captain and in defenders efforts.
