West Brom linked with summer move for Bolton Wanderers defender Tim Ream

This Is Lancashire: West Brom linked with summer move for Bolton Wanderers defender Tim Ream West Brom linked with summer move for Bolton Wanderers defender Tim Ream

WANDERERS defender Tim Ream could be a £4million summer transfer target for West Brom, according to reports in the Black Country.

Baggies scouts are rumoured to have watched the US international at Doncaster last night and the club are tipped to swoop for the 26-year-old who has been one of the Whites’ star performers this season.

Whether Dougie Freedman would be open to selling the versatile defender is another matter after his consistent displays in a difficult season for Wanderers.

But West Brom are long-term admirers after being linked with Ream before he moved to the Reebok in January 2012 in a £2.5million deal from New York Red Bulls.

The defender spent a week training with Albion prior to joining the Whites.

Ream’s current contract at Wanderers runs until the summer of 2015.

Given the general rarity of Wanderers making a profit on any player they sign, if we was to be offered 4m for Ream I would snap West Brom's hand off regardless of how 'ambitious' fans want the club to be. Realism and common sense need to take preference and that 4m could be a massive help to rebuilding the squad when hopefully the dead wood is sold / released in the summer. Can only imagine Ream's stock would increase was he to play and play well in the World Cup. Pretty sure Omar Gonzalez is their left back at the moment and given how bad he is I don't see any reason why he can't dislodge him for that position.

Get real. Do you think gartside will reinvest the four million if we sold ream what do you think happened to all the money from the sale of stubs curchic Thompson macateer etc don't think that was reinvested why do you think big Sam left because gartside wouldn't release funds that's why dougies only allowed loanees and some of them are second rate

So West Brom are a step forward for Tim Ream? Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

ahhhhhhaaahahahahaha
hahahahahaaa!!!!

£4-million and Craig Dawson or WBA can go swing. All you BWFC fans shoul;d be ashamed of yourselves. Are you not SICK AND TIRED of our assets being sold on the cheap? Look at Cahill now, look at Nobby Nolan... and the list can go on. £4-million seems to be the going rate of rip-off by these clubs aiming to swoop on our better players.

Tim Ream for me and many others have him as the Player of the Season.

Now IF Team USA are reading this I would suggest Tim Ream enters the USA World Cup squad on the back of his displays this and last season at what is really a Premier League club taking a vacation in The Championship.

I know this is true first hand. I listened to big Sam beg for some investment from Gartside. Well actually couldn't help overhearing a conversation from the small patio area above the reception area outside the Directors Suite.

Mr. Gartside KNOWS this is the truth... circa 2001/2002
