BLACKBURN Rovers Ladies will attempt to secure silverware on Friday when they take on Preston North End in the Lancashire FA Women’s Challenge Cup final at the County Ground, Leyland (7.30pm).
Injury-hit Rovers go into the game on the back of a four-match losing run.
But assistant manager Amanda Goodwin is expecting a response to Sunday’s 3-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest.
She said: “We’ve got to regroup and get ready for a massive game this Friday against Preston in the final of the Lancashire Cup.
“It’s a local derby so the girls won’t want to lose. Hopefully they will bounce back and perform on the night.”
