YOUNG Spanish goalkeeper David Raya has signed his first professional contract with Blackburn Rovers.

The 18-year-old, who joined Rovers two years ago from Barcelona-based club Cornella, has put pen to paper on what the club describe as a 'long-term deal'.

Raya said: "I'm very happy because it is a chance to carry on my career.

"It is a good achievement for me and my family, I've been working hard every day for this.

"I've been here two years so it was an easy decision to make, it is a dream."

Good luck lad, hope you succeed. Bowyer obviously sees some promise there.

With the shocking example being set by the likes of Calamity Kean and Clint Eastwood this lad can probably see a first team place becoming available sooner rather than later.

Premier League goalkeepers. Decent goalkeepers.

What have you got? Calamity Kean, Clint and Anne Robinson. Not a decent keeper between them.

Tom Heaton, now there's a goalkeeper.

What's a numtey?

Not liked is it when the boot's on the other foot considering all the Wover "people" who go on Clarets threads with their multiple aliases you know who I mean when I put

"Pop, Pop, there goes a dream bubble". Poor lad, poor Wover dreams, living in the past and cannot grasp reality.

So the words are "Touché mon ami"

Tom Heaton has never played in the first team of any premier league club
think he had five years at man united but never played in first team
loan moves and free transfers till he moved to burnley
you cannot compare him to premier league keepers he has no track record in the premier league
