BLACKBURN Rovers striker Leon Best rejected an approach from Charlton Athletic before signing for Sheffield Wednesday on loan.
As revealed by the Lancashire Telegraph Charlton boss Chris Powell put Best to the top of his wish list after losing Yann Kermorgant to Bournemouth.

But Powell has revealed the Republic of Ireland international turned him down in order to rejoin the Owls on loan for the third time in his career.
“We were quite close to Leon Best,” Powell said.
“It was a number of factors. Location didn’t help us. Sometimes it does, London is always an attractive option, but he’s settled up there with his family.
“I think he’s been to Sheffield before on loan and he’s going to become a father next month so that may have something to do with it as well.”
Best came off the bench to make his first appearance for the Owls in a 2-0 win at Huddersfield on Saturday.
Best, who has not played for Rovers in four months, will remain at Hillsborough until March 12, but the Owls will have the option of extending the emergency one-month loan.
