Stars shine for Blackburn Rovers

FIVE young players from the Middle East are heading to Blackburn Rovers for a two-week training programme.

The quintet were selected at the end of the ‘Rovers Stars’ tournament in Bahrain organised by the club’s owners Venky’s in association with the Bahrain FA.

The annual seven-a-side tournament featured 38 players aged under 17 nominated from clubs in Bahrain.

At the end of the tournament Rovers scouts selected five players to attend a two-week training programme at Brockhall.

Looks like Shebby is trying to justify some of his large earings for doing nothing. It was said that his current contract will expire this Summer and I was expecting him to leave at that point. Anyway Venky's have backed the club to the hilt therefore if they want to keep Shebby involved that's their choice as long as they keep him away from us and he doesn't interfere with GB that should be ok, but I can't forget the chaos and some of the signings he has made whilst he was here and thought he would have been moved on by now But would not want to criticise Venky's after all the financial backing and support they have given us.as it is their prerogative.

Kean doesn't work for Venky's anymore.

After all the money he wasted do you really think that even Venky's would be stupid enough to listen to Shebby about anything to do with football?

Get real guys, read what the article is saying.

Unlike the famed signings of the Kean and Shebby era's these kids, selected by our own scouts, are coming over for two weeks to see if they have any potential, that's all.
