Midfielder Lee Williamson is a major doubt for Blackburn's home contest with Blackpool in the Sky Bet Championship.

Williamson suffered concussion in the midweek draw with Barnsley and his potential absence could open the door for new signing Bryan Dabo to make his Rovers bow.

Winger Ben Marshall, still waiting to learn the full extent of an ankle injury sustained against Derby, is set to miss out again along with Dickson Etuhu and Corry Evans (both ankle).

Captain Scott Dann did no train on Monday but the centre-back could come back into the reckoning following an arm injury.

Blackpool, meanwhile, could hand debuts to Haris Faroun and Andy Keogh against Blackburn.

Midfielder Faroun has moved to Bloomfield Road from Middlesbrough and striker Keogh joined on loan from Millwall.

Central defender Gary MacKenzie trained on Thursday following an ankle injury and interim boss Barry Ferguson is quietly confident he will be fit enough to included as the Seasiders bid to win for the first time in 12 games.

Striker Ricardo Fuller (hamstring) is still a week away, and Neal Bishop (knee), Tom Barkhuizen (shoulder) and Bobby Grant (foot) are all missing again.
