Ruben Rochina, Bradley Orr and Yann Songo'o on verge of leaving Blackburn Rovers on loan

RUBEN Rochina, Bradley Orr and Yann Songo’o are understood to be edging closer to leaving Blackburn Rovers on loan.

Rochina, 22, is being lined-up to join La Liga strugglers Rayo Vallecano on loan until the end of the campaign.

It will be the second January in succession that the Spanish striker, who has struggled to win a place in Gary Bowyer’s side after returning in November from injury, has returned to his homeland after spending the second half of last season on loan at Real Zaragoza.

Orr looks to be heading to Canada to sign on loan for Toronto FC.

It is believed that right-back Orr, 31, will remain with the Major League Soccer side, who are managed by former Rovers defender Ryan Nelsen, until December.

Songo’o, meanwhile, is on his way to Ross County.

The centre-back, 22, will spend the rest of the campaign with the relegation-threatened Scottish Premiership outfit where another Rovers player, striker Jordan Slew, is also on loan.

Of the three deals it is expected that Songo'o's will go through first.

Reports yesterday linked Rovers forward DJ Campbell with a move to Championship rivals Millwall.

New Millwall boss Ian Holloway is a big admirer of Campbell, 32, after managing him when he was in charge of Leicester City and Blackpool.

Campbell is on police bail until April after his arrest in December by National Crime Agency officers probing spot-fixing allegations in football matches.

of all the three named above i would keep Rochina....and i would get rid of DJC on loan until the end of the season.

i can't understand letting RR go on loan, when he was out injured all GB banged on about was how much better we would be when Rochina returns..it doesn't make sense to me but hey.....i'm not the manager.

Echo the above post regarding Rochina, clearly GB is building his midfield around a different style of player, typically British, high energy competitors, bringing Cairney, Evans, Marshall, Taylor, in to the team and preferring Lowe Williamson and King to the collection of Mediterranean show ponies assembled by Kean and his agent friend.

Songo'o doesn't seem good enough to press for a place yet, so fine, loan him out, and as for Orr, well, all I can say is thanks Ryan, take him away, not impressed with the footballer, no respect for the individual. Would not be surprised to hear Bradley the Boomerang spouting off in the press again as he walks out of Ewood for yet another loan.

The problem with Rochina is where do you play him ? When everyone is fit we will have Evans and Cairney in the middle (PLEASE STOP PUTTING LOWE AND WILLIAMSON IN THE MIDDLE AND CAIRNEY OUT WIDE.) and Gestede and Rhodes up front. So this leaves Rochina out wide or as a sub. Ideally he would play in the hole behind a front man but IF Rhodes is staying we won't be set up that way which leaves without a position.

It would be nice to keep him so we could change the formation is needed but the books need to balance and as he hasn't played this season ( not properly anyway) he may have to move.

Taxi for Rhodes!
Interesting you have chosen to read and comment on our news yet haven't found time to comment on the numerous Burnley stories today !

I wonder if this is because you actually don't follow any team but just post on a variety of forums pretending to be from a rival club. Anyway I guess you'll be off to the Everton forum to comment on how well Liverpool are doing before moving to the Sunderland forum to sign in as Geordie FC and praise Pardew.

So you drop Marshall who is a total team player and playing out of his skin for Rochina? (who I actually like btw but he is a total pain in the arse)

No way.

Our best midfield at present, assuming all are fit, and we are playing Rhodes and Gestede up front is Lowe, Cairney, Marshall and Evans.

On the bench Taylor who never lets us down, Dunny too injury prone or Williamson,.King and Rochina as an impact player,

If Rochina grew a braincell and realised that he is playing for a TEAM he could be a PL player of some quality, but right now everytime he gets the ball he is like a kid in a sweetshop, totally out of control.

He needs to change, become a team player.

No need to comment on the Bly stories as everything concerning the Top Dogs of East Lancs is fine & well my fatherless friend.

I notice however that you don't disagree with my observations?

On a final note, you may consider changing your name. Kean left Wovers some time ago and he had a better track record than most of the subsequent shaved chimps that have been strapped into the 'Deadwood' ejector seat since.

Just a thought?

Get shot of Bradley Orr and then we can run the flag up the pole. Have you considered shipping him out to Borneo to join his mentor Kean in the rain forest league?

Angry From Accrington says...

Shame that we are only talking about loans for Orr and Songo as that suggests that they might be coming back.
Rochina would be first on the team sheet in any of the current top six Championship sides as their managers are not afraid of creative game changers.

Our best lineup, subject to fitness, would be
Robinson
Kane, Hanley, Dann, Spurr
King, Cairney, Rochina, Marshall
Gestede, Rhodes

Subs Kilgallon, Taylor, Evans, Eastwood, Dunn

I hope Rochina stays. Last year same time we got over-confident, let many creative players leave. At least we have Cairney, that's the key difference.
