Paul Wheelock’s ratings:
Simon Eastwood 8: Was sold short by Tommy Spurr for Matt Smith’s goal. Came under pressure in the second half but did not cave.
Ben Marshall 9: Continued his fine form by producing a sterling performance, out of position, at right-back.
Scott Dann 8: Captain led from the front as Rovers bounced back from two disappointing home results.
Grant Hanley 8: Rock-solid alongside Dann at the heart of the defence and had a header cleared off line in the second half.
Tommy Spurr 7: Worked so hard in the second half in a bid to make up for his mistake which led to Leeds’ goal.
Chris Taylor 8: Recalled and playing on the right of a three-man midfield, he was tireless throughout.
Lee Williamson 8: Calm and composed on the ball, he offered a protective shield in front of the back four.
Tom Cairney 9: Outstanding on the final game on his loan spell from Hull City. Set up both of Rovers’ goal.
Rudy Gestede 8: Marked the final match of his loan stint from Cardiff City with what proved to be the winner.
DJ Campbell 7: Returning striker had an effort cleared off the line and a penalty appeal waved away.
Jordan Rhodes 8: Opened the scoring early on in typically clinical fashion and headed against the bar late in the game.
