Bruno Ribeiro leaves Blackburn Rovers to return to Brazil

This Is Lancashire: Bruno Ribeiro Bruno Ribeiro

FORGOTTEN man Bruno Ribeiro has left Blackburn Rovers.

The Brazilian right-back has signed for Clube Atletico Linense on a free transfer - the club he spent the second half of last season on loan at.

Ribeiro made just five appearances for Rovers - his last being in September 2012 - after he was signed by then manager Steve Kean in July 2011.

Yesterday Rovers announced that another Kean signing, striker Jordan Slew, would spend the rest of the campaign on loan at Scottish Premiership outfit Ross County.

Youngsters Jack O'Connell, Anton Forrester and Anthony O'Connor have had their loans at Rochdale, Bury and Torquay United respectively extended until the end of the season.

Another stellar signing by the Special One, the guy is 30 year old and still can't get a game, with Kane, Henley, and probably now even Orr ahead of him I think its time to call it a day.

Good to see GB trimming the payroll, and very wise to get the youngsters out on loan. We may need one or two of them next year.

Well that's 15k a week shaved off the 56 million debt.

Keep it up and you just might make the FFP regulations.

15k a week, just think, that's 5k a week more than Ings is on. It's no wonder he wants out. Rovers were paying 5k a week more for a 6th choice fullback. If I were Ings, I'd be demanding a move out of the sh1tpi, he'd get more playing for Accy

Well Mugsy, it is all about being seen to try and comply, which we are.
Shoots down your theory about us being given extra punisment for persistent non compliance
And we are not going into admin as Venkys are servicing the debt.
They still have no plans to sell up and we still dont have to sell anyone we dont want to
And we are heading for the play offs not relegation
Sorry Pal, your scare stories are busted, have a word with your now silent partner, WLUV
See you in May!

Don't know how Bolton will be able to service that amount of dept without a rich benefactor being involved. At least with our Dept £36 million is owed to Venky's themselves therefore meaning we are having to service a dept of £20 million at the moment. If only Kean and co had not saddled us with a load of Donkeys the picture might have been a lot brighter than it is now. We also have the next Wayne Rooney to come back from Dundee United as well and that's another one to shift on.

I think Venkys biggest mistake (apart from listening to Anderson) was not sacking Kean before he wasted all the millions. They wouldn't listen to those that knew better and are now paying the price. Whether they have learned anything is another matter.
Anyway, things are looking up a bit and I'm looking forward to a better second half of the season as GB and the squad grow in experience.

Rather a somewhat short list, if I may say so, Snuffy. From what I read on here, you could add perhaps another dozen or so before any-one would be missed.

As I recall most of the money is owed to their owner. I suspect he doesn't expect to get it paid back but it does beg the question of how relevant the debt is to the FFP rules.
