DJ CAMPBELL will play for Blackburn Rovers for the first time since his arrest and subsequent bail by police probing spot-fixing allegations in football matches after he was named in Gary Bowyer’s starting line-up for today’s Championship clash at Leeds United.

Striker Campbell is one of three changes Rovers boss Bowyer has made to the team which started Sunday’s 3-2 home loss to Birmingham City.

Two are enforced as Jason Lowe is suspended while Adam Henley is rested as a precaution after playing five games in the space of three weeks after nine months out injured.

Ben Marshall will play right-back in place of Henley, a position the winger has played earlier in his career.

Chris Taylor and Rudy Gestede, along with Campbell, earn recalls.

It is expected that Gestede – who along with midfielder Tom Cairney is playing the last game of his loan spell – will start alongside Campbell and 15-goal top-scorer Jordan Rhodes in an adventurous three-man attack.

There is a place on the bench for highly rated 16-year-old Connor Mahoney, the boyhood Rovers supporter who joined from Accrington Stanley last month and who has made an instant impression at Brockhall.

Seventh-placed Leeds, who are four points and five places above Rovers in 12th, make two changes as Sam Byram and Alex Mowatt replace Lee Peltier and Michael Brown.

Leeds: Kenny, Lees, Zaliukas, Pearce, Byram, Mowatt, Murphy, Austin, Pugh, Smith, McCormack. Subs: Cairns, Peltier, Wootton, Ariyibi, Brown, Poleon, Varney.

Rovers: Eastwood, Marshall, Dann, Hanley, Spurr, Taylor, Williamson, Cairney, Gestede, Campbell, Rhodes. Subs: Kean, Kilgallon, King, Songo'o, Rochina, Judge, Mahoney.
