Yeovil Town v Blackburn Rovers: Player ratings

This Is Lancashire: David Dunn got eight out of 10 David Dunn got eight out of 10

BLACKBURN Rovers reporter Paul Wheelock gives his ratings for the 1-0 win at Yeovil Town.

What do you think about the match ratings? Give us your marks out of 10 using the comment facility below.

Paul Wheelock's ratings:

Simon Eastwood 8: Made four second-half saves to make it two clean sheets in three matches but did have trouble with some crosses.

Adam Henley 7: Played a major part in the only goal of the game, driving forward before playing in David Dunn to set up Jordan Rhodes.

Scott Dann 8: Captain made a number of blocks and interceptions as he celebrated his 100th game for Rovers in style.

Grant Hanley 7: Like Dann, joined the Rovers 100 club, and like Dann, turned in a typically committed display.

Tommy Spurr 7: Would have scored a stunning solo goal had it not been for the overworked Yeovil goalkeeper.

Jason Lowe 7: Had two good chances to score in the first half, dragging the first and losing his footing for the second.

Tom Cairney 8: Ran the midfield, particularly in the first half, and brought the best out of Marek Stech on three occasions.

Chris Taylor 7: Full of running and, along with Ben Marshall and David Dunn, was part of a fluid, attacking midfield three.

David Dunn 8: Although his finishing was not up to his high standards, his energy, desire and quality certainly was. Set up the winner.

Ben Marshall 7: Always a threat on the left, the big summer signing is really beginning to find his feet at Rovers.

Jordan Rhodes 8: Delivered the perfect Christmas present to the 1,000-strong travelling supporters with his winning goal.

Well done for getting above Rovers. The pinnacle of Burnley's achievements in the last 50 years. No wonder you are delirious.
It must feel as good as winning the Premier League to you lads.....

What's it like looking up at the Clarets at Christmas, must be heartbreaking.

Doesn't really bother most of us to be honest....if you can do the same for the next 30+ years though I might start to worry a bit.

You shouldn't have replied to the troll but I totally agree.

It's a bit of a novelty for them I suppose but I will leave my shouting till the end of the season, none of them will be around on here then anyway.

It will all end in tears when the transfer window opens and Ings and Tripier move on to better things, I have a mate who is well in at Leeds and she has been telling me for a couple of months they are going in for Ings this window, and I have been dropping hints about this on other threads.

As it doesn't bother me one jot then it must be pretty boring for you. 13 points at the moment but I suspect going in to the new year it will be under 10 points. Hardly an unassailable lead is it?? Anyway enjoy your glory and the trophies you have won during this wonderful time you are having. Ah that's right you have done absolutely jack as of yet. Numpty!!!

If it makes you feel better old man you believe your own bullsh!t while we continue to show you lot up as the tin-pot mugs you are.

Burnley have no need to sell players, the directors acknowledge that the riches on offer for promotion are so great it would be foolish to disrupt the best strike partnership outside of the Premier League.

Perhaps if we were struggling in mid-table likes yourselves then no doubt a large offer would be considered, however we are not only completing with the top teams this season, we are flying. And the people who make the decisions at our club are Burnley supporters, not Chicken Farmers on another Continent who haven't got a clue what the words relegation, transfer embargo, or administration mean.

As recently reported, Blackburn HAVE to sell, it could well be a miserable January as Rhodes moves on to better things, Cairney returns to Hull. Campbell is under investigation for match-fixing, and best is just not up to the job. Perhaps all your hopes rest on Rudy "the hat" Gestede. You have to admit its looking pretty grim for you lot.

Morning Mark - don't forget your appointment with the OCD Shrink. You're going into a serious relapse pal.

Oh and well done on the appointment of your new Director - sounds like he's full of ambition - he chipped in his 52" Plasma, a gold bracelet and an old BMX at Cash Converters so he could become a shareholder down at 't Turd.

Let's hope for your sake your Board show a little ambition this time around - somehow I doubt it though.

Morning David. It is nice to have directors who are also supporters of our club. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to have Indian Chicken farmers and comedy Malaysian TV pundits making the decisions while your club's very existence hangs in the balance. Shocking situation.

p.s. can you ask your mum to make it 7 o'clock. Santa's going to empty his bulging sack all over her tonight. Cheers son..
