BLACKBURN Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has made the decision to drop goalkeeper Jake Kean for this afternoon’s Championship clash at title-chasing QPR.

Kean has paid the price for a number of individual errors, the latest of which came in Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat at Ipswich Town.

The 22-year-old has been replaced between the posts by Simon Eastwood.

It will be Eastwood’s first league appearance for Rovers since signing from League Two outfit Portsmouth in the summer.

Eastwood is one of four changes made by Bowyer.

Adam Henley takes the place of suspended right-back Todd Kane.

It will be the fit-again Henley’s first appearance since March.

Kane, like Kean, had previously been an ever present.

Ben Marshall and Chris Taylor, meanwhile, replace Josh King and DJ Campbell.

Marshall, having impressed after coming off the bench against Ipswich, will be making his first start since October 19.

Taylor, the man of the match in the 1-0 home win over Leeds United last Saturday, returns after missing the Ipswich match with personal reasons.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has made one change to the side that started the 3-0 home victory over Bournemouth on Tuesday as Matt Phillips is preferred to Gary O’Neil.

The Hoops – who are unbeaten at home in the league, having won eight and drawn one of their nine games at Loftus Road – include former Rovers winger Junior Hoilett in their starting line-up.

QPR: Green, Simpson, Hill, Dunne, Assou-Ekotto, Phillips, Barton, Carroll, Hoilett, Austin, Johnson. Subs: Murphy, Traore, Onuoha, Jenas, Kranjcar, Henry, O’Neil.

Rovers: Eastwood, Henley, Dann, Hanley, Spurr, Lowe, Williamson, Cairney, Taylor, Marshall, Rhodes. Subs: Kean, Kilgallon, King, Dunn, Campbell, Rochina, Judge.
