STRIKER Rudy Gestede could make his Blackburn Rovers debut at Ipswich Town tonight.

The targetman, signed on an initial loan from Cardiff City, missed Saturday’s 1-0 home victory with Leeds United because of a minor knock.

But Rovers boss Gary Bowyer confirmed he is fit and ready to start if needed tonight.

Bowyer said: “He’s had a good three days training now and he’s a load better for that.”

DJ Campbell, who scored 10 goals in a successful 17-game loan spell at Ipswich last season, is also pushing for a starting place after coming off the bench against Leeds.

“DJ looked very sharp,” said Bowyer, who may choose to rest David Dunn.

“He had a great spell there last season and he’ll be eager to show the Ipswich fans how good he was.”

The Rovers boss is also hopeful Lee Williamson will return to his squad after he missed the win over the Leeds with a migraine.
