PLANS to build up to 73 homes on the edge of Colchester have been approved.
Members of Tendring District Council planning committee gave the plans, for the former Betts factory site, in Ipswich Road, outline permission last night.
The plans are part of an overall development, put forward by developer Lands Improvement, to build 201 homes on the site, which lies part in Colchester and part in Tendring.
Colchester Council granted permission to build up to 123 homes and a 65-bed care home in its authority on Thursday, March 14.
