Plans to build 300 houses on two sites in Menston are being recommended for approval once more as Bradford Council revisits the two schemes.
The decisions, from Regulatory and Appeals Committee on Thursday, April 4, come five days before an inquiry is scheduled over one of the proposed developments.
Developer Taylor Wimpey appealed to the Planning Inspectorate over houses on Bingley Road. Bradford Council’s Shipley Area Planning Panel granted conditional approval in February 2012 for developments, at Bingley Road and Derry Hill.
But it later agreed to revisit both schemes, after solicitors representing Menston Action Group (MAG) told the Council it was obliged to take a further decision in light of changes to national policy.
Menston Action Group is calling on villagers to attend the meeting, at Bradford’s City Hall at 10am.
