Good move by MA. Keeps all the players on their toes despite the win at Arsenal. Proves that every place is up for grabs. Just hope changing the back four doesnt back fire. Hull 1 Rovers 2 please

gone one goal down,

rovers keep inviting pressure sooner or later teams wise up to it, need an attacking threat, hull need players running back to their goal,

rovers have to be looking to score at least 2 goals per game, whatever the other team does

dont think hull keeper has had a serious save to make, as i say that hull double their advantage,

rovers have to be imposing their game more than they are doing

We are not going to go anywhere until he sorts that centre midfield out. It's been out problem all season! Lowe & murphy cannot go forward and cannot drive the game on.

Think the recent form was misleading somewhat. Appleton isn't a genius and will make mistakes. Tonight he got it wrong. Too defensive, trying to hit on the break and Rhodes not getting a look in. The teams at the top are way ahead.

Problem with rhodes is, he won't chase the ball,he can't tackle.Chris Sutton was good at this, and it makes a BIG difference.

Certainly looks like another transfer window is needed if we want to get out of this league.

No surprise really we haven't even looked close to beating any of the top teams since our flying start.

We need to attack teams more instead of defending against nearly every team we play. It's a lot better under appy, but we need to have more of a go , not sit back most of the time

We have just been defending in last few games and hoping for a lucky goal at the other end. We have been lucky in last few games but its not going to happen in every game. We need to attack more and play better football.

Missed our most creative and technical players, the ones out on loan. I am big fan of creative players, I fully believe they are easily picked on but without strong holding players it becomes difficult.

A couple of scroats crawling back out of the woodwork i see. Must have been on a "family holiday" for the past couple of weeks.

Wasn't the best performance today but Hull are a good side, they're now second, and we're not going to win every game so lets keep this into perspective. Heads up and move on.

Agree with some comments on the mid though, I sigh every time I see Murphy on the teamsheet. For me the mid has been the problem for the last 2 years. Neither got steel and engine power to support the df, or the vision, pace and creativity to provide for the forwards.

Pederson and Rochina are the midfielders that have the most assists, neither played tonight.

Olsson played at left-back with Rekik in front of him. Team looked well set-up initially and looked like we could have a good night.
Obviously very flat after the Arsenal game so not too despondent, it's a work in progress after all.
Kean is looking a very good prospect, made a couple of exceptional saves and has a good future ahead of him.
Hanley very involved but nobody able to cover themselves in glory.

We defend reasonably well but are unable to break quickly, with Rhodes and Kaz feeding off absolute scraps.
I won't criticise these players as they put in a good shift tonight but weren't good enough, simple as that.

BTW is Bentley carrying an injury? He runs like he has a knee or hip problem or is it my eyes?

We ain't going up folks, let's just beat the Dingles then concentrate on doing better next year.

Well thats it we need to rebuild for next year,we are not good enough ,Lowe maybe young but he hasnt enough skill to move the ball forward and Murphy is just too slow that is why Liverpool got rid a few seasons ago. We need a good midfielder and that is what we should be looking for in the summer as Appleton is a good manager he just needs to build his own team and get rid of the Pedersons,Murphys Danns and Lowes from our side.

I was there , Hull were NOT a good side, and aren't a good side, but wanted it more. We were shocking and we'd do well to play Rochina, seeing he's out on loan in Spain! Think you need to get up to speed, but agree on Peds, only creative quality midfielder we have & look at the games we've done well in, he's played.

Look at Hull's team, no household / star names there but flying in the league.
A properly managed team with players playing in their natural positions could walk this league.
Appleton needs more time and importantly, backing from the owners to take us up. Some of our players simply aren't good enough and there needs to be some more outs and ins in the next twelve months before we can make a serious challenge.

You are a coward because you dare not come on here when Dingles lose or Rovers win. Only when Rovers lose. That's why.
In any case a supporter of a team with a record like Burnley is in no position to criticise anyone.
