That is rubbish Reg and you know it....all three players you mention who are leaving can be likened to Venkys tenure at Ewood - promised a lot but delivered nothing. Yet.
Happy with new signing rumours but p*ssed off Rochina leaving if that's true. Real quality player of which we have few even if he lacks a little with his decision making but then Appleton seems to be a proper football man/coach at last and had hoped he could sort that out.

I have to strongly disagree with you French Rover, normally I think you make good posts but I feel very deflated by this business, we are getting two decent championship players and one div one player, we are losing 3 players who have the quality to play at the top level, I understand we have too many number 10s but we are left with the ones of the least quality like Rosado who should have been first out the door fair enough let one go but not all three.

I think the signings of Campbell and Thomas could be quite astute, i think Campbell could be an excellent runner in pulling defenders while making space for Rhodes and Thomas who will certainly be more direct than what we have had, if we manage to get cover at the back then i think we will be more balanced and come out in February a much better team.

Underwhelmed so far - hope to be proved wrong but Rovers seem to struggle to do the basics. . Top sides in the championship have signed quality players who can play at a higher level. Rovers appear to be signing players who appear suited to this division -

Have you known another club in football which has irritated so many of its key players and as result we are now a mid table Championship side Last year it was Nelsen Samba Hoillett Salgado Roberts

This year its -So if Robinson stays and is fit we will keep him on the bench what an excellent idea Rovers. Vukevic back to the wilderness Givet frozen out . Good to see Nick Blackman sold for £1Million plus to a Premier Leafue side

I have been waiting however to see what happens in this window both in terms of Mr Appleton and Venky's.

In Appleton's case I had turned a blind eye up to now to the fact that we seem to be giving jobs to half the staff of Portsmouth FC but it seems that his targets if reports are true are following a similar pattern, the concern is that Portsmouth are in a worse mess than us so just exactly what are we achieving by employing all of them both in terms of coaches and players their CVs do not stand up to scrutiny.

As far as Venky's are concerned well pretty much what I expected one way street when it comes to spending money, their form as has always been the case is for selling valuable assets and bringing in cheap replacements who are incapable of doing a job for us - these people are without doubt the biggest bunch of lying bullshitters that ever lived.

Mr Appleton you will need to get tough with Venky's the fans are not in the most endulgent period of our history and you will be judged on what you produce so dont let a promising start go to waste.

BARTLEY LOAN PLANS SHELVED AS CLARETS BID TO KEEP SQUAD INTACT

BURNLEY manager Sean Dyche remains hopeful of getting through the transfer window unscathed.

The Clarets boss was only expecting to make signings in the event of losing any of his current crop.

But with Dyche  preferring to keep his squad together ahead of delving into the market, the Burnley chief’s wish could be granted by tonight’s 11pm deadline.

Marvin Bartley was believed to be a target for Bristol City as of yesterday morning, but by the afternoon plans to pitch for a loan move until the end of the season had been shelved.

ROBINSON SET TO LEAVE EWOOD

BLACKBURN Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson is in talks over a free transfer move to West Ham with the Hammers’ 24-year-old stopper Stephen Henderson lined up to come to Ewood Park as part of the deal.

The 33-year-old former England stopper has been told by Rovers boss Michael Appleton that Jake Kean will continue as his number one, leaving Robinson looking for an exit.

Henderson, who played under Appleton during a spell at Portsmouth in 2011/12, is expected to come the other way to provide goalkeepers Kean, Sebastian Usai and Greg Sandomierski with further competition.

APOEL Nicosia are in talks with Blackburn Rovers over a possible loan deal for Simon Vukcevic.

Rovers' Montenegrin international has struggled to make an impact at Ewood since signing from Sporting Lisbon in 2011 and looks set to move to Cyprus until the end of the season.

Rovers' goalkeeper Paul Robinson is in talks with West Ham, with Hammers goalkeeper Stephen Henderson lined up to move to Ewood as part of any potential deal.

FORRESTER SIGNS TO ROVERS FROM EVERTON

Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of young striker Anton Forrester.

The 18-year-old has signed from Everton on a free transfer, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal through to June 2015.

The Liverpool-born forward joined Everton at the age of nine and progressed through the junior ranks at Goodison Park.

Forrester linked up with Rovers at the turn of the year and after impressing on trial, put pen-to-paper on a permanent deal.

4:49pm

ROVERS KEEPER ROBINSON IN HAMMERS TALKS

PAUL Robinson is expected to hold talks with West Ham United this afternoon, after Blackburn Rovers agreed to allow the goalkeeper to move.

The former England number one would join the Premier League outfit on a free transfer if personal terms can be agreed - with the Hammers' 24-year-old stopper Stephen Henderson set to move to Ewood.

Robinson's representatives will discuss the potential of the move this afternoon.

4:47pm

ROVERS ATTEMPT TO CONCLUDE KAZIM-RICHARDS DEAL

BLACKBURN Rovers are attempting to conclude a permanent deal for Colin Kazim-Richards before the transfer window closes tomorrow after agreeing a fee with Galatasaray.

Kazim-Richards joined Rovers on loan in the summer and the club remain baffled at continuing reports in Turkey that Bursaspor are confident of signing the 26-year-old.

Rovers boss Michael Appleton is aiming to make three or four signings before the transfer window shuts at 11pm tomorrow, and wants one of those to be a permanent deal for Kazim-Richards.

Rovers have had a bid accepted by the Turkish side, thought to be between £500,000 and £750,000, and are now in talks with the player’s representatives.

The club are hopeful of finalising a four-year deal for the forward and Kazim-Richards said last week that he is happy to stay at Rovers after telling his parent club earlier this month that he did not want to cut his loan short.

Figures at Ewood Park are now waiting for owners Venky’s to give the green light over personal terms as they aim to finalise a deal.

Sources in Turkey continue to suggest that Bursaspor remain hopeful of signing Kazim-Richards, but Rovers have still heard nothing from Galatasaray about possible rival interest.

The agency representing the player have distanced themselves from quotes supposedly suggesting Kazim-Richards was on his way to Bursaspor, who yesterday signed defender Anton Ferdinand on loan from QPR.

In any case, the terms of Kazim-Richards’ season-long loan at Ewood mean Rovers would have to give permission for the deal to be cut short early.

Even if Kazim-Richards signs, Appleton remains keen to bring in a right winger before the deadline after Josh King suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Derby.

The Norwegian could potentially be out for a number of weeks. One player likely to leave Rovers today though is midfielder Diogo Rosado, who looks set to return to Portugal to join Benfica on loan.

The 22-year-old has made only three appearances since moving to Ewood from Benfica’s Lisbon rivals Sporting in the summer.

Rovers’ FA Cup fifth round tie at Arsenal will take place on Saturday, February 16 at 3pm. The game has not been selected for live television.

I'll definitely reserve judgement until Friday but nothing so far transfer wise has particularly impressed me. Another reserve keeper and another ' one for the future ' striker don't exactly help our current plight..do they Jordan Slew?

My ideal for tomorrow would be Stephen Warnock, Bentley and / or another pacey winger or a CB.

Come on supernova - how on earth can you be critical of Appleton bringing in two people from Portsmouth that he has worked with and trusts? Anyone who worked down there at Pompey over the last couple of years deserves a medal just for keep putting a side out every week with all the rubbish they had to cope with. What happens when MA loses a game or two (which according to the law of averages he will) are you going to start the Appleton Out club along with Smelly and co?

It will take some time to build a good squad and most managers are united on the fact that the January window is not the time do to this. MA is using this window to re-jig the squad a little to make us more lean and competitive and give us more balance for the rest of this season.

Looks very promising so far does our MA, but needs this season to even begin to make his mark on the club.

That's the point isn't it Leitchy, he is too good for the championship so why name him? It's easy to say this and that but you can't name any names that arn't too good for the championship will do good for Rovers, and come to us can you? All Kean could do is get money grabbers and has beens, these names that MA is going for arn't massive names but he knows them and football so give him a chance

You did aim higher and got Murphy and Etuhu. As if Graham would join a bottom half chumpionship club. Good to see your fellow supporter realises the true situation at Blackburn, stop deluding yourselves, wake up to reality and realise where you are. The PL is the past, stop harking on about it and you may actually start to progress to the top half of the fizzy pop league.
O hang on, is that Beckham, Ronaldo and Messi sneaking into the chicken farm?

The answer is that it's more fun to come on here and poke fun at the deluded Blackburn fans who still believe their club's fall from the Premier League, fire sale of senior players, staff and club management, combined with dismal Championship performance is a mere blip. Wake up and accept what you are, an average championship team growing weaker by the day. The Clarets are a good model to look up to, a well run, well respected, proper football club currently sitting 5 points above the Rovers.

He is quite correct though in the fact that certain "Bunlee Fans" only seem to have an interest in Rovers' matters, and have no comments on their own threads.

Total frustration but we have owners who want Champions League Football so trust them is the word

RECENT! Get with the program Mr fridge magnet. Last time you won anything a packet of Polo's was about 15p.
And yes Burnley haven't won the league since 1960 etc etc etc.
Forget your obsession with Burnley for a moment - the point being made is you are currently a chumpionship also ran and anything you have done in the past be it good or bad is history.
Sadly for you it is highly unlikely you will saviour such moments again, infact it could get worse before it gets better. This possibly explains why you hold on to these memories so fondly and have to mention them at every opportunity.

Anything happening with Baptiste or are we just pinning our hopes on attacking players again?

So all in all all some poor work. Freed up the wage bill but still left with a lot of hangers on, this squad will only be chasing shadows not promotion

How many forwards have we got now

J Rhodes
Kazim-Richards
David Goodwillie
Leon Best
Nuno Gomes
DJ Campbell
Josh King

It would have been nice to see such strength in central midfield and defence

I have no qualms about a couple of the departures, apart from Rochina's is the one I question.

I do believe that both these players will be of use to us, but I don't understand why Rochina had to go.

It's just surely Campbell's would of been sorted before 11pm?

Otherwise we'll have to loan them in when the loan window opens.
