Excellent news about Kazim-Richards but feel bad for Rosado. The club fought tooth-and-nail to sign him but he's not really had a chance to prove himself, a common occurrence at Rovers in recent years. It'll be interesting to see which right-winger Appleton goes after, any ideas?

Hmmmm. He' already stated that he want to bring in 3 or 4 players, but from what he is saying, recalling Orr and making CKR's deal a permanent one seem to count a two of those. Seems a bit Keanesq to me.

Kazim shows the guts to stay upfront and he is powerfull. He is adjusted with rovers system and getting attention on him as a good player.

Good he choose Blackburn and stay with dream of playing at the top level.

Hope venky agree the fees and he could be a best player with Rhodes and Rovers.

Yes keeping Richards would be a decent move as Best is not ready to come back yet and we need three strikers min anyway. I reckon one of the three we may bring in will be Bentley on the right side. Then all we need is another midfielder and a central defender as cover (unless Givet settles his differences).

Muggins. Making loan moves is the best thing to do in January. Prices for players are always inflated as clubs don't want to lose them mid season. Taking on loans with a view to a permanent move in the summer makes far more sense.

I agree that, given our position, loan moves make more sense. However, crankitup has read it all wrong anyway. This article doesn't suggest anything about the other signings being loans, it just says that Appleton wants to sign Kazim-Richards permanently. You know, seeing as he's currently on loan.

Appleton you said you were looking to sign people, you have till 11pm tomorrow to do so! What is wrong with Blackburn, other than the obvious, EVERYTHING!

If he doesn't fit in the team then there's no place for him here at Blackburn. I'd rather he gets shipped out, cuts the wage bill and Appleton brings in a player in another position where he is needed. We have way too many midfielders at the moment so some of them need to go...

Things are moving for the better or at least better than of late ,,a permanent move for kaz is intent on keeping the good and rasado who aint getting a peep
out . Seems ok and last min dash for others , things are much better and feels more like a football club than a circus .

KR is ok. been slow to fit in but his physicality is useful in the league. Has the the burning desire, I doubt!

Richards has played extremely well the last 2 matches, makes sense to sign him for 500,000 when his loan deal is in doubt. Seems relatively cheap for these days, very ordinary players can be sold for much more.

Having said that I agree with the posts about getting players in on loan instead of buying in the transfer window, very few really good players move in the January window, if they are any good their clubs want to keep them. Look at the modest lot we got last year!

and possibly sell some fringe players like Robinson, Dunn etc which will save huge amounts in wages.

I feel Galatasaray may have leaked information (poss made up?) of another bid to try and force Rovers' hands to tie up a deal ASAP as they will need the funds due to recent purchase of Sneijder and potential buy of Drogba. I agree and if on loan the player has to prove himself/try harder for a contract the big problem is we have 15+ to many players on the books. Who knows maybe shaggy nuts is in Portugal signing half a dozen as we speak!!!! OMG that's why he has gone quiet.

How many loan players are we allowed at anyone time in the Chumpionship? Please somebody explain to me why we would want to make the worst player in our squad a permenant fixture? He has absolutely no place in the squad and has proved it time and time again throughout the season. The only decent game he's ever had in blue & white was his last game, a one off against a poor team and now hes hailed as our new Jason Roberts. Frankly - the man is greedy, doesn't pass when the option to shoot is on, he's slow (never could beat the last man), he's lazy, he has ZERO ball control and his knock-on's are non existant. He may gather 95% of ariel balls placed in his direction, but how many of his knock downs are successful? 1%? 2%?

I doubt very much that he would best pleased at Venky's near destruction of a 136 year old institution that serves it's local community with distinction ?

In my view concerning the 'snowball' incident I have great respect for the husband, who took the incident, and figuratively speaking, at face value. This in my book goes a long way to building bridges with the disenchanted and disenfranchised supporters. I hope that this will see an end to the wholesale hostility with this incident ? For it is not that I condone the action, but wholly understand why it happened, and in the bigger scheme of things can be thankful that it appears to be the end result of two years of utter mismanagement.

All this upsets me and indicates how far as a club we've fallen. People getting excited about signing a half a million pound player from the back waters of European football.
I always count Rovers fans as some of the most level headed and with a good understanding of the whole football package.
Do your sums , players sold - players bought. You'll see a plus total. Further evidence of asset stripping. Appletons here to overseas signing of cheap / free players who might be half decent while the big earners or those with a view are slowly got rid of.

Your assertion that Venky acquired BRFC due to the towns large Indian population is wild, and suggests with the figures you give - 30,000, that these people would automatically descend onto Ewood Park thus alienating a vast majority of long time supporters which, even in the minds of Venky, would be a disaster for the town and its populace creating division ? So, I would say with some confidence that Venky did not acquire BRFC on that basis.

Venky have arrived at the realization that throwing money at football is no guarantee to success. Only an astute business man, such as the likes of the late J.Walker, deriving from the town, could really understand the workings of a club such as BRFC with his vast knowledge, along with being a dyed in the wool supporter, was able to achieve the great success that he brought to the town under the banner BRFC with aplomb. Again, for those that you mention above(the billionaires of India) do not arrive at that stature by venturing into a world that they do not understand thus squandering their hard earned(and I say that loosely) money.

Venky did say Blackburn had a large Indian Population and BRFC was a good historical club that won the Premier League title,that was the reason they bought BRFC.They were offered other Clubs in Premier League and Championship.
Laxmi Mittal the richest man in UK worth £17.5 Billion owns QPR,right now QPR is lying bottom of table in Prmier League and i dont think Mittal's vast fortune would save QPR from being relegated this season.
Venky did promise BRFC that they would spend beetween £10 to £15 milion on transfer funds on new players every season.
There are only two clubs where these billionaires are spending their vast wealth the Seikh at Man City and Ambromovich at Chelsea the rest of the clubs like Fulham,Southhampton,
Notting Forrest,Hull,Sunderl
and,Birmingham city,Leicester city,Watford their foreign billionaire owners are not spending crazy and break their bank.It's up to their owners if they want to spend crazy or spend wisely.
