It should be apparent to the Venky's by now that the club has a long tradition of supporting local industry, just as local industry has had a long tradition of sponsoring the club. How do they expect local industries to invest in the club if they don't support them?

For once Darener is correct, bad decision and also although it hurts to say it, well done Burnley for sticking with Thwaites.
Season ticket purchases are detrmined by the success of local business, some do come from afar, but the majority are local, so why do Rovers give the contract to somewhere else. Some local jobs may be dependant on that.

KINGFISHER is the beer from India , Tiger is Singaporean, the comment about the club supporting local businesses and vice versa is not completely true in recent history a lot of local businesses lost the business they were doing with Rovers when Jack took over , that is fact.

When was the last time anyone saw Bentley actually kick a ball in anger?

Chances are it will take months to get him fit enough, from what I can see on Wiki he has played around 12 games in the last 12 months or so for West Ham and Rostov.

25 games in two years in total on loan for 3 different clubs with just one goal scored.

Wages reputed to be £3 million pa.

On your other point I don't want us to be linked with anyone until they sign on the dotted line.

Enough people on here have criticised Rovers for spouting rubbish about who they were going to sign only to fall flat on their faces.

Having unrealistic expectations isn't a positive attribute, its absolutley pointless for Rovers to expect promotion this season, it will not happen. A realistic expectation is for MA to sort the club out, a decent finish to the season - top 10.

Quite a sensible post. Thank you. I compleatly agree as we stand we should look to build a squad as the one we have isn't premiership quality. However the ultimate goal is to reach the premiership again, not just to finish above your club. It isn't unrealistic expectation, it's what we all want, our respective clubs to gain promotion. I don't get excited about being 5 points clear of our rivals as I have greater ambition than that. That's the difference between us. As a side note I have never posted on the burnley site. Sell Dann - he has put on a lot of weight and is even slower this season.

Outrageous I have never described the Burnley squad as a" one man team". To go one step further I have at no point ever used the word "man" or "team" to describe the burley squad.

Having unrealistic expectations isn't a positive attribute, its absolutley pointless for Rovers to expect promotion this season, it will not happen. A realistic expectation is for MA to sort the club out, a decent finish to the season - top 10.

Quite a sensible post. Thank you. I compleatly agree as we stand we should look to build a squad as the one we have isn't premiership quality. However the ultimate goal is to reach the premiership again, not just to finish above your club. It isn't unrealistic expectation, it's what we all want, our respective clubs to gain promotion. I don't get excited about being 5 points clear of our rivals as I have greater ambition than that. That's the difference between us. As a side note I have never posted on the burnley site. Me too. I know a lot of fans wont believe me when I say this but never has a fixture with Burnley been so insignificant in my 40 years of watching Rovers. I dont feel excitement or trepidation. The reason being that Burnley is a tadpole in the water and we have Piranhas to contend with. The issues at our club and the desire for some semblance of order and intention far outweighs whether we beat or lose to Burnley. We could win and still end in a poor position in May and similarly we could lose and finish above them. It's simply irrelevant in the greater scheme of things. I am more focused on what happens with Appleton, what Venkys do next, which players go and which come in, 5 points above or below a club down the road is just a side show to the circus we've had. Sometimes in your football club's history other things take precedence over local rivalry.

I have never bought a beer in the ground in over 58 years of attending. That is not the point. It should be apparent to the Venky's by now that the club has a long tradition of supporting local industry, just as local industry has had a long tradition of sponsoring the club. How do they expect local industries to invest in the club if they don't support them?

Correct but they are buikding a new brewery in Blackburn as they want to stay loyal to the area. They could move it anywhere, but in Blackburn they want to stay.

KINGFISHER is the beer from India , Tiger is Singaporean, the comment about the club supporting local businesses and vice versa is not completely true in recent history a lot of local businesses lost the business they were doing with Rovers when Jack took over , that is fact.

I really don't care believe it. People do have other things going on in their lives you know. Things happen. We aren't all sitting on this site and the world has stopped. You might be but I'm not. We fully expected to get beat at Turf Moor and that wouldn't have bothered me. When you are realistic, you aren't let down. Your fellow fans weren't realistic. Those on sky predicted 3-1 6-0 must have felt stupid after. Burnley beating us will change nothing in my life nor for Blackburn Rovers. Believe it or not, it makes not difference to me. I was at Turf Moor the game before Burnley played at Ewood in their premier league season. They had just beat Birmingham as I remember and singing "bring on the b..ds". We were in hospitality with some business guests some of whom were Burnley ST holders. This one guy was in his 40s but totally obsessed by beating Rovers. Kept ranting on to me about how he heard Rovers fans were having shirts printed and they would just wind the Burnley players up and we would get beat. It was more than banter. He was red faced, couldn't look me in the eye. Although I feel the same rivalry, I couldn't understand somebody of that age getting so worked up. I tried to put things in perspective for him as I actually felt sorry for him. Said "its just a game". He nearly had heart attack, nearly bit my head off and was practically in tears. I thought about that guy when we won the game that he was so certain we would lose. I dont understand Burnley fans who take it to that level. I'v never met any that bad. I have a relative who used to be in the old suicide squad. Even he isnt that bitter. He gives me some stick but has a laugh about it.

Having unrealistic expectations isn't a positive attribute, its absolutley pointless for Rovers to expect promotion this season, it will not happen. A realistic expectation is for MA to sort the club out, a decent finish to the season - top 10.

Quite a sensible post. Thank you. I compleatly agree as we stand we should look to build a squad as the one we have isn't premiership quality. However the ultimate goal is to reach the premiership again, not just to finish above your club. It isn't unrealistic expectation, it's what we all want, our respective clubs to gain promotion. I don't get excited about being 5 points clear of our rivals as I have greater ambition than that. That's the difference between us. As a side note I have never posted on the burnley site. Me too. I know a lot of fans wont believe me when I say this but never has a fixture with Burnley been so insignificant in my 40 years of watching Rovers. I dont feel excitement or trepidation. The reason being that Burnley is a tadpole in the water and we have Piranhas to contend with. The issues at our club and the desire for some semblance of order and intention far outweighs whether we beat or lose to Burnley. We could win and still end in a poor position in May and similarly we could lose and finish above them. It's simply irrelevant in the greater scheme of things. I am more focused on what happens with Appleton, what Venkys do next, which players go and which come in, 5 points above or below a club down the road is just a side show to the circus we've had. Sometimes in your football club's history other things take precedence over local rivalry.

I was at Turf Moor the game before Burnley played at Ewood in their premier league season. They had just beat Birmingham as I remember and singing "bring on the b..ds". We were in hospitality with some business guests some of whom were Burnley ST holders. This one guy was in his 40s but totally obsessed by beating Rovers. Kept ranting on to me about how he heard Rovers fans were having shirts printed and they would just wind the Burnley players up and we would get beat. It was more than banter. He was red faced, couldn't look me in the eye. Although I feel the same rivalry, I couldn't understand somebody of that age getting so worked up. I tried to put things in perspective for him as I actually felt sorry for him. Said "its just a game". He nearly had heart attack, nearly bit my head off and was practically in tears. I thought about that guy when we won the game that he was so certain we would lose. I dont understand Burnley fans who take it to that level. I'v never met any that bad. I have a relative who used to be in the old suicide squad. Even he isnt that bitter. He gives me some stick but has a laugh about it.

I have never bought a beer in the ground in over 58 years of attending. That is not the point. It should be apparent to the Venky's by now that the club has a long tradition of supporting local industry, just as local industry has had a long tradition of sponsoring the club. How do they expect local industries to invest in the club if they don't support them?

I reckon Orr will have a point to prove but for me I would keep Kane in at RB, then we have some competition at last at RB. The only trouble with that though is that we only have him (Kane) until the end of the month. Might be worth seeing if Chelsea will let us have him all season? Makes sense to bring Orr back.

Think you might be missing the point......tiger beer has been produced by Malayan Breweries Limited (with factories throughout Malaysia/Singapore )the company was formed in 1931 one year before they produced tiger beer......since 1963 Singapore is part of Malaysia
So, tiger beer is produced in Malaysia still to this day, obviously brewery plants worldwide now bottle it....but, the clue is 'bottle it'......genuine tiger beer uses water from Malaysia as would Cerveza Quilmes Argentine's most popular beer use water from Buenos Aires Province.
