HALF TIME: Wolves 0 Blackburn Rovers 1

JORDAN Rhodes’ penalty has put Blackburn Rovers into a half-time lead at Wolves tonight.

Rhodes struck his 14th goal for Rovers in the 26th minute after Ruben Rochina had been tripped by Bakary Sako.

The Rovers striker had earlier been unable to steer an effort on target after racing clear, but Jake Kean had to save well at the other end to deny Kevin Foley.

Watching on Sky. The lads are clearly playing for Gary. Rhodes' celebration said it all. I'll get behind the new gaffer, but I reckon that Bowyer seemed to be finally picking players who want to play for the club, in the right positions. COYB

Couldnt ask for more. Weathered the early storm and grew to dominate the game. Let's hope we keep our wits about us start of the second half then press on to grab another couple and keep a clean sheet for Bowyer

Poor first part but came into it. That said could have been down to 10 men. Need to get some self control and keep shape

Wolves fans are a very abusive lot. They've been chanting abuse in their thousands from the onset.

What an awful game - is that the level to how far we,ve sunk ? There isn't one player in that team who would have got into a rovers team of just a few years ago!

I like his attitude, and I'm not one to moan about our players unlIke some, but Jason Lowe just isn't good enough yet. Someone needs to spend a lot of time with him on his passing and decision making.

Second half we might as well have gifted them. Morris coming on gave a push, but GB should have really made changes at half time.

CK looked a cert for a red card, I could see why he wasn't taken off but Lowe, Olsson and then Pederson coming on, just no impact at all. Murphy had a good game but again, just no pace. I couldn't understand Vukevic coming off, he was relentless first half.

All in all, a draw was fair. With the whole circus around management, it can't be easy to stay motivated. GB on Sky asked about his future at the club, said he'd be talking to Appleton on Monday. Cheers Gary, you gave us some hope again and brought some dignified performances from the players, who were obviously playing for you.

Hope you stay with us and carry on creating the Henleys and Morrises of the future for our troubled club.

Fair summation that Blueblooded.

Two pi55 poor sides who don't deserve to be anywhere near the prem. on that showing.

I'd have swapped CKR for Gomes after 30 minutes, but I've been told it's not my turn to be manager until Jan 2014.

yes the team played a decent game, not good by any stretch of the imagination, but watch out mr appleton you better be up for the challenge,,if not and l think your not then your doomed for the exit, but fair play to you,,but in reality your not the guy for ewood,,very few are, because unlike the burnley requirements where average is acceptable,,ewood demand much more,,
